We have stayed in many hotels as we traveled throughout Italy. The accommodations were top notch! Staff very friendly & customer service oriented. Fernando at the bar was superior! Housekeeping outstanding! Breakfast was delicious! Plentiful! Room & bathroom was spacious. Highly recommend!

Hotel website says all rooms non smoking. Not so. Rooms Heavily permeated with stale cigarette smoke. Very unpleasant. Front desk say everyone smokes anyway and therefore won’t change room. I suggested they not advertise they are non smoking.

We chose this hotel for its location and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a great place as you can walk everywhere. The staff are friendly and helpful but we thought it needed a complete refurbishment. It could be wonderful but has a very dark dingy feel. Our room looked into the building shaft but it was very large and the AC was efficient. The mattress was sub standard compared to other places, the shower cubicle small and weak shower which kept getting cold/ hot intermittently. There was no coffee or tea facilities which surprised us and just one bottle of complimentary water at the start.

Having just arrived in Palermo from Catania, first impressions count, really nice-looking Hotel, and we were well-impressed by the location. Check in was simple and no fuss, our room was ready for us straight away, bags taken to our room for us. Everything was spotlessly clean, very old style, with all the mod cons, it’s made to look very old but fairly modern renovations have been carried at some point in the past. First night’s sleep, was not so good, lots of road noise, ambulance`s with sirens blaring, the room did overlook the main street. We asked to be moved to a quieter room, and a room with balcony, Which the hotel agreed and sorted for us. Breakfast was included and there is plenty of choice, continental self-service. There is also a roof terrace to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun shine if you wished to. Shame they don’t have any sun parasols for a bit of shade, also this area should be open 24hrs, when we stayed, it was locked shut all day after breakfast service and in the evenings. Nice bar area on the ground floor, with a good selection of drinks and cocktails, which is not over priced for a hotel bar. Turn down service in the evenings is nice touch. Mini bar if you wanted it, but check the prices of the items first. Rooms do have a kettle, but only provide tea?? no milk and no coffee? which is a bit strange. We did not try the restaurant for an evening meal as we ate out, there are a fair few restaurants and Bars etc. in the area. Check out was straight forward and quick. Couldn’t really fault the Hotel or the service provided.

Love this hotel!! The service is fantastic and the hotel itself is amazing. You will feel as if you are staying in your own palace. We had a suite which was gorgeous, quiet and a perfect respite from our travel from the US. There is a wonderful little lobby bar that serves up delicious cocktails by Fernando. We will definitely make this our go to hotel in Palermo for future visits.

This is a very comfortable and well managed hotel. It’s in a great location in central Palermo with everything within walking distance. We were arriving early and had three rooms booked, the hotel staff were very helpful from booking through to our stay and check out. Our rooms were best to each other and were ready for us to check in early. There is parking nearby which is private and secure, the lady at the car hire rental at the airport had warned us of cars being stolen, the reassurance of secure parking was much needed. The rooms are comfortable, with very comfortable beds and well furnished bathrooms. The breakfast buffet included a good variety of hot and cold food and was served in a lovely conference room at the top of the hotel. Overall this was a great stay and we’d happily stay here again.

One of the nicest and most comfortable hotels we have ever stayed in. The room and bathroom were spotless. The bed was large and very comfortable and gave us a great nights sleep. All staff went above and beyond, from the porters to the reception. They were friendly and professional. A special thanks to Ferdinando the barman who makes the best Margarita cocktails ever! Breakfast was great with plenty of different choices on offer. We would definitely return again. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for our first trip away in a long time. What an absolute gem off a place. Firstly the staff could not do enough for us. So welcoming and friendly made us feel like we were family not just guests. The room. I think we were a little spoilt to be honest. I stupidly booked a twin not double. They gave us the best room and for what we paid it was fantastic. Absolutely immaculate and had everything we needed. It also felt very grand. The barman. If you like a drink go and ask for the Wagner cocktail. The guy is so happy and in love with what he does you just want to sit and talk to him forever All in all a traditional beautiful hotel with staff that make it worth staying. We will be back as soon as possible u

The perfect hotel for your stay in Palermo. The location is great, between "downtown" and the historic district. You can walk everywhere. The room was lovely with a super comfortable bed, completely quiet, black out curtains, upscale bathroom with plenty of hot water and balcony. The breakfast is on the 4th floor, with an amazing selection of food plus an airy outdoor space. Hotel staff could not have been more helpful, going above and beyond, especially Wim! If we ever return to Palermo, we will definitely be staying at Hotel Grand Wagner.

Location : In Central Palermo close to the shopping area Reception : now they miss a star for not helping me bring my luggage into the hotel which is up some stairs . Reception and check in : can be slow but straight forward , I can't speak Italian but was made to feel welcome Hotel rooms : lovely and classical , I stayed in a double room and a classical room.... I would recommend anyone to stay in the double room as the single is too small . Now the WiFi was great in the double room but hit and miss in the single . The double room was on the same floor as the reception ( ask for a room on this floor) whilst the single was on the first floor . Breakfast - great with plenty of choices including eggs cooked any way you want fresh cappuccino delivered to your table on demand as well as great expresso. Hotel services - the hotel has a health centre where massages are available - this is easily booked through the reception. THE BAR - this is where the hotel excels Most of the staff in the hotel work in multiple roles both serving breakfast and helping in the bar. But the bar staff are absolutely awesome Here goes : Ferdinando Buccheri - Cocktail legend simply amazing ... I've had great drinks around the world but this Bartender is awesome... he loves his job and delivers with passion Bovi Davide - Also a great Bartender whose warmth and welcome makes him an ambassador for this hotel Alyce Coletti - always makes an effort to make you feel at home in the hotel, both at breakfast and in the bar Federyka Gambino - another great member of the hotel team , always warm and helpful. The above staff all got together to take a picture with me on my last day which really touched my heart. Ladies and Gentleman you are amazing and I will definitely miss you all. I will definitely stay at this hotel again due to the amazing staff
