We arrived by car and were immediately greeted outside by a helpful member of staff who assisted us with parking and our luggage. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were offered free wi-fi. The website warns that it is an old building and some of the rooms are quite small, but ours, whilst not huge, was perfectly adequate...

We travelled to Ortigia in September to visit the War Cemetery with my husband and father. We are really pleased we chose this hotel. The staff were probably the most helpful, considerate and friendly we have encountered. Thank you for this - it made our stay feel really special. The hotel was fully booked and even though there were lots...

The hotel is situated in the historical part of Siracusa. The rooms are small but full of charme. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is very good. They recommend us a nice little restaurant (Per Bacco) it was just the best food we had on our trip. Free mini bar. We can highly recommend this hotel for the...

The hotel is trying hard with the simple things, such a s free juices and mixed nuts, nice fragrances put in the rooms, but these are simple. What they really need to do is give the place a fresh coat of paint and clean some of the furniture. Our room had scuff marks everywhere, making the room feel very tired...

Dear Sir, We are sorry that the stay in our hotel was not to your liking. We apologize regardless ... Sorry even more be compared to a resort, our in fact wants to be a different experience. This makes us understand that your expectations were different and hardly we could meet them. Our hotel looks a long period of closure,...

We stayed 3 nights here, we came with car form Catania and we coud easily park our car at a little square of the hotel. The interior and the whole hotel has an ancient impression (in the sense that they preserved as good as possible the structure of the palazzo). The room was not big, but was oke, we had...

The hotel is beautifully restored, and the room we had was lovely and charming with a small balcony. The location is good and breakfast was plentiful. I really enjoyed Siracusa, and this hotel was a great base to explore everything. We parked the car at the hotel and walked everywhere. I adored the small streets and enjoyed exploring all parts...

The location is overlooking the sea on the outskirts of Syracuse. I would recommend booking a sea view room, otherwise you could end up looking at a wall 1 metre from your window. The staff are efficient and extremely helpful, but there are clearly not enough of them so they end up doing a plethora of 'other' jobs which means...

We stayed in this lovely hotel for one week the end of June and beginning of July. It is a beautifully restored old "palace." We loved the common areas, especially the breakfast room. The breakfast was a luxurious experience --a feast to all senses. Beautifully laid out with plentiful of fresh fruits, baked goods, and made to order omelets. It...

My husband and I spent three nights at this charming boutique hotel. We found the staff extremely friendly and accommodating. They kindly made arrangements for us to reserve an umbrella at a private beach club on the coast which was wonderful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Every restaurant recommendation that they gave...

The location is very good and the staff very kind, specially Mariangela and Marcelo, two fantastic receptionists who try to solve all your problems, but the hotel must have more people to offer a better service. Dear Sir, thank you for finding the time to write a review, we appreciated. We are glad you appreciated our staff service that, they say, is Always available and attentive. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel is located in an exquisite ancient building on the waterfront of Ortigia, the historic centre of Syracuse. Giving onto the ancient "Mastra Rua," where the Siracusan nobility resided from the 14th century, the hotel is a starting point for cultural itineraries. Its recent restoration maintains the original structure made of three buildings, contributing to its dynamic layout. Rooms are furnished differently with antique furniture, four-poster beds and refined interior decoration with distinctive Sicilian touches and Mediterranean features such as colorful bathrooms tiles. ... more   less
