I had only one day to stay at Syracuse. This hotel along with this beautiful city was worth it to stay more... Helpful staff huge room for just the two of us and clean. Big breakfast and a nice small indoor courtyard. If you rent a car maker sure you find a parking.

The Grande is a gracious late nineteenth century hotel fully renovated a decade ago. The restoration retained all of the Grande's charm and added modern features. We had a large, comfortable room and could not have asked for more. My wife noted that it was exceptionally clean and all the linen appeared to be new. The staff was conscientious and...

Hotel on corner of Via Nino Bixio and Via Malta, makes it an good location for walking to Ortigia island, or into the center of Siracuse, or the archaeological park. Comfortable and clean, large, high-ceiling bedroom with balcony. Free wi-fi available for hotel guests. Bathroom rather disappointing - underlying malodour, presumably from drainage system. Comfortable and relaxing hotel lounge bar...

Great location, just a short walk to old town. Close to shopping and ancient sites. The bedrooms were very large with plenty of space for our 3 person room. The rooms were nicely updated. Great breakfast very day.

We stayed 2 nights. The rooms are large and confortable. The hotel is located at 10 minutes walk from the historic center. The breakfast is ok. The biggest issue we had was the very poor quality of the wifi. The wifi works fine in the lobby but the signal is the room is very bad, cutting all the time. Impossible...

We stayed here in September 2016 and were advised before arrival that the air-con was out of service for several days for repairs. They placed fans in the rooms and reduced the rates - so it ended up being reasonably comfortable. The place is showing signs of a lack of maintenance but is clean and comfortable. Reasonably free from street...

Stayed there (just the one night) while visiting Syracuse. Staff were excellent and the service very good. Couldn't have been more helpful in parking the car (always a bonus in a city location like this) and the room was clean and reasonably spacious. Food was actually very good and we couldn't fault the service. Syracuse was fab.

Near enough to walk to Ortigia and walkable form station with light luggage. The immediate area has nice cafes and bars with a local feel and interesting shops (eg a specialist lute/stringed instrument shop and a bookshop/publisher. The bar opposite seemed very empty and closed before midnight. Our very spacious room overlooked the street with lots of traffic noise during...
