A Mediterranean dream: 65 hectares of paradise overlooking a postcard sea. To separate you from the beach just a few hundred meters of lush Mediterranean vegetation, whose scent mixes with that of the waves of the sea. Relaxation, beaches and nature reserves. But also culture, history, art. The strategic location of the VOI Arenella Resort opens to the enthusiastic traveller a wide range of opportunities. From here you can easily reach some of the major points of interest in the region, places that the whole world envies us. Come Noto, capital of the Sicilian Baroque, or the charming Taormina. Only 10 km from the village, then, there is Syracuse: the ancient capital of Sicily, with a rich thousand-year-old past and a charming old town, which is actually an island. Wonders that never cease to surprise us.
Beautiful traditional Italian resort, lovely clean modern room, fantastic air conditioners. Don't expect loads of English people and English foods all real authentic Italian foods. My husband fainted In the restaurant and they had a first aider instantly and a doctor within a few minutes could not rate the staff enough for stepping into action when they were needed. The scillian hospital was fantastic did every test within an hour. I would definitely book in the pizza restaurant a couple of times when you arrive and the bus for Syracuse. There is a little train to the beach and it's has 2 parts the second part is beautiful sand turquoise waters and you can swim out far without it getting too deep. Would point out the Italians Like to party late and night. It takes a few days to…

Was sceptical about this hotel due to the mixed reviews. However, myself and my family all agree it has been great. We stayed for 5 nights on half board plus with Tui. This included breakfast and dinner and some drinks. Room spotlessly clean, cleaned every day. Food, evening meal, fantastic choice and quality. Breakfast, good enough choice. Lovely good size pools and snack bar. Small train to take you down to the beach Most staff friendly and professional Evening entertainment , always something on at the theatre but we didn’t go. Great for small kids. Also singer every night on the roof terrace after dinner. The resort is quite remote but we had a car which definitely helped. The majority of guests were Italian, but I took this as a good sign. If you want to properly…

This is a big resort hotel with a security fence around the campus. A few miles south of Syracuse, it enjoys a rural setting close to the sea. There's really nowhere to walk to after you have checked in but the hotel does offer daily buses into Syracuse where the ancient island peninsula of Ortigia with its rich history and winding alleyways is well worth a visit. We also enjoyed a coach tour up to Mount Etna and then on to Taormina. Quite expensive at 78 euros a head in the summer of 2023 with no lunch included. Our "comfort" room at Arenella was indeed clean, comfortable and quiet. One of the things that appealed to us about the 440 room hotel was that it was all low-rise and spaciously spread out. Breakfast and evening meal were taken buffet style in the main and rather…

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are clean. The staff are very polite. The facilities are amazing. We upgraded when we booked that way we got a suite with balcony. Access to the spa centre and separate pool. But most importantly, is a dining experience. I could not fault the food the waiters and waitresses were amazing. This is our second stay (we rarely visit the same place twice).

I expected this to be the trip of a lifetime for me as it was the first trip without my husband who died in 2020 My room was dated but clean The food was appalling cold and served up like pigs swill Resorted one evening to just eating bread rolls which were rock hard! Never again!

We stayed at this hotel for a week as we were attending a wedding towards the end of May. This is a very pleasant complex, situated in beautiful gardens with several pools, a nearby beach and a sun bathing terrace over the sea. The hotel was fairly quiet when we went and we had no issues with sun-beds etc. The hotel is fairly remote in its location but that is part of its attraction. The picturesque historic town of Syracuse with the Ortiga peninsula is near by and I would thoroughly recommend a visit. You did have to arrange a shuttle bus which costs 5 euros return and the shuttle goes at 9:30 and 12:30 with a final return of 6pm. If you wish to stay longer then cabs / taxis were quite reasonable. We did experience a couple of school trips during our stay but we were in a…

As part of my Jet2 holiday evening entertainment was included. This was for Italian customers only, no catering for international customers. It blasted around the whole complex until midnight. Aqua aerobics is done at the beach in the sea & only in Italian. Radio Italy blasted music around the pools from mid morning until 6 pm. Breakfast average the hot breakfast was stone cold. Evening meal was good. You had to book to use the gym. You cannot just go like most hotels. The hotel is isolated and gated by security. The bathing terraces are lovely. Lots of families with kids under 5. The hotel does provide a bus to Syracuse at €5 which is good. Beautiful manicured gardens & trees. I didn’t think value for money. Room was very clean.

The resort is a catfish as mentioned in other reviews. It is clean and tidy, the rooms are basic and an upgrade is recommended to a superior room. The issue is the resort itself and the staff, it doesn’t cater for English guests. The food is poor and the service even worse, the staff ignore you unless you are Italian. The food is lukewarm and choices are poor, we were in the a la carte restaurant and it’s never seen a la carte, not sure how you can get Italian food so wrong. It was not hot all week and the service got worse as the restaurant got busier. Italians always took precedence. There is nowhere to eat at lunchtime except the restaurant on the beach which is about a 600m walk, so probably best to go all inclusive. There is no shop in the resort to buy any snacks or drinks…

A beautiful holiday in a very nice resort with above-standard food. Sorry for the disappointment on arrival. We changed the standard room on the first day due to lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. The new room is already in order and everything is already perfect.
