This is our third trip to Villa di Piazzano and every time we come it gets better. Our first trip was on a recommendation from Karen Brown in 2004. Next was in 2010 and we noticed a lot of changes and more rooms then. But the changes keep getting even better and the decorations and the beautiful dining room and... More

Just spent a marvelous weekend in Villa di Piazzano. Could not recommend it more highly, and it is definitely worth it. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, the ambience is relaxed and luxurious, and the villa itself is beautiful. If the sun is out, a dip in the pool is a must.

Our visit to Villa di Piazzano was all we expected and more. The family owners and all the staff, without exception, were friendly and helpful and did all they could to make our stay a memorable one. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property if you are seeking an historic but stylish country retreat within easy reach of... More

My husband and I recently spent seven days at Villa di Piazzano and I can't say enough about it. Located near Cortona, the vila is reached by driving though a long tree-lined lane that is prototypically Tuscan. This is a very special place to stay and the experience of being here is one of total comfort and warmth. Everything about... More

This Villa is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. My husband, 19yr old son and I arrived via train from Florence. We called a taxi and were driven by the kindest, nicest elderly man to the Villa. The approach up the driveway was breathtaking... Road lined on either aide with tall cypress trees...like a postcard. The villa was... More

My wife and I stayed for only two nights and sincerely wished we had chosen this Villa for longer and all the guests we spoke with intimated the same. The location is beyond perfect and the Villa is quite simply superb, all the staff are extremely professional and Gabriella the chef is supremely good. The Villa is located just a... More

Located just outside Cortona on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, this Villa exceeded out expectations. Lovingly restored, this former hunting lodge of a Cardinal friend of the Medici's has terrific service, excellent food, beautiful rooms and grounds and a nice pool for the hot summer months. Staff was very helpful with our planning of side trips to Assisi and... More

My newly minted wife and I went to Italy for our honeymoon. We stayed at Villa di Piazzano for 3 nights and simply put, it was just perfection. I have never experienced such friendliness and service in all of my past travels. From the second we arrived to the second we left, we felt like royalty. Great rooms, great grounds,... More

What a wonderful place to stay! We absolutely loved the "Villa di Piazzano" The grand residence has been wonderfully restored with stunning gardens and spacious rooms all beautifully decorated with a lovely homely feel. This is a beautiful building in a beautiful location. The food was excellent. My only (complaint) was that it lacks a bit of a personal touch. The staff, who are helpful and friendly are just a bit aloof. I didn't get that customer intimacy that so many small hotels in this area deliver upon. Please don't take this an an... More

Dear Guest, I take your point and I agree with you as also like to interact with our guests and particularly like to exchange words and ideas with people from different parts of the world.....but we somehow missed each other, despite my very long working days and extensive presence on the property. I hope this is perhaps a good omen... More
