I don't know where to start! Driving up to the hotel from the road is breathtaking, such beautiful buildings, flowers, grounds and scents. Warm welcome at reception, we were shown to our room and given breakfast info. Room was lovely, tiled floors, big beams on ceiling, comfy bed. There is air con but it wasn't really doing the job, however...

What a huge disappointment! Restaurant was the worst ever, unfriendly staff + bad quality of the food. Almost never open. We were literally chased away when we wanted to drink a coffee! Baby bed was dirty and broken + unfresh sheets. Bed and sheets were changed after making complaint. Door bathroom was broken (see pic). Bathroom in general was total...

Stunning grounds, comfortable accommodations supported with high quality amenities, extensive breakfast and beautiful swimming facilities. Vincenzo and staff did not leave our experience to only a brief welcome orientation but carefully managed our stay with each interaction in a professional, warm and genuine manner. True hospitality - a rare find in today's low touch service environments. Will recommend to friends...

As a respite from touring the major cities in Italy, we chose the Tuscan countryside of Cortona. The Borgo Il Melone offered beautiful grounds, and rooms in a refurbished villa setting. In addition, the hotel did have a laundry room with washer & dryer available at no charge. Since we arrived by private transfer and did not have a car,...

A very pleasant stay made more so by Vincenzo and his colleagues. (A problem with the bathroom was speedily rectified. Nice room, good restaurant and lovely park. The only downside was arriving after a long journey at lunchtime there is no food available. Cortona is up a very steep hill and we were advised against walking. However a taxi was...

A bit tricky to find but definitively worth our efforts. Great entrance, beautifull gardens, nice pool, state of the art refurbished mansions, a well quoted restaurant open late and a very friendly staff. Our room booked through last minutes section of the booking.com was large, with a private terrace and was wel equiped with a bathroom with tub. the whole...

I stayed for 6 nights with my family, overall the stay was really enjoyable, so here are some pros and cons; The staff were excellent at every point, they were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very average, as an Irishman however I will never be happy with a continental breakfast, a little more effort would go a long...

We only stayed one night as we were on our way to Venice from Rome. How we regretted that! The whole setting is beautiful with Old Cortona up on the hill in the background. The buildings, restaurant, cantina, and rooms are beautiful in that they were classy and rustic at the same time. The room was very comfortable. The food...

The Hotel really has beautiful grounds. The Architecture is traditional with authentic stone buildings with Villa style architecture. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast and good proximity to Cortona.
