What you get for the price is amazing! Lara and Lorenzo who run the B&B are the best welcoming committee into Florence. They detail everything for you from how to get around, what to see, and even where to eat. It's a great 360 and comprehensive welcome to Florence. The price of the room was unbeatable. You're only about 15...

My cousin and I stayed here for a weekend during the busy summer season. Prices were cheaper than I expected and Lara and Lorenzo were amazing hosts. We flew in very late, but Lorenzo waited for us to arrive so we could check in. Lara was there every morning to make us coffee and serve up the breakfast buffet. Both...

orenzo, the owner, is extremely helpful and friendly and always available to answer any questions! The rooms are spacious and clean with a very modern interior, and the location of the B&B is ideal - you can walk everywhere. The only small thing is that there is some traffic noise from the street, but not so much as to be...

We had a fantastic time here. Lara and Lorenzo are really great hosts. They made us wonderful coffee in the morning and set out a very nice breakfast buffet. Lara also told us about good places to go and about the shopping in the local area. We went during the off season. Bathrooms are shared. Most of the time we...

I stayed here over New Years period with my 2 adult sons. We had a large room with 3 comfortable beds. Place was spotless. Shared toilet/bathroom was also spotlessly clean. Breakfast was typical breads, cakes, cereal yogurts etc. fresh ground coffee was great. Lorenzo and Lara could not have been more helpful. They even got us parking tickets for car...

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Il Grillo in end Dec 2012. The experience is like staying at a close friend's place. We were taken good care of, got good advice and felt relaxed. Lara and Lorenzo are good hosts who pay close attention to our needs, but also like good friends who sincerely provided tips on the...

We stayed at Il Grillo for three nights in mid-September and it was just what we wanted. Only about 15 minutes from the centre of the city and a big comfortable room. Lara was really friendly and helpful, recommending loads of places to go and see and providing a good breakfast every morning. She even booked tickets for the Uffizi...

We stayed for three nights in September and really appreciated the AC. Lara and Lorenzo were super super nice and accommodating despite us having to check in during the evening (we emailed ahead of time). They provided lots of maps with suggestions, even printing out a schedule of hours for all the museums in Florence! They also make lovely cappuccinos...

My daughter and I stayed at Il Grillo for 4 nights in late July/early August 2012. I cannot say enough to endorse the hospitality of the hosts and the comfort of the facilities. The crowds in Firenze cultural sites were heavy and at times trying, but it was easy to remain centered because we knew we would be returning at...
