BBH Firenze was the best accomodation we could have imagined for our family trip to Florence. Great rooms, perfect location, close to the centre but still calm. And Sylvia is a very friendly and helpful host!

This place is amazing. I am a 24 year old post undergrad traveling Italy with my fiend, and after staying in budget hostels for a couple weeks BBH was heaven on earth. With an amazing host to give us recommendations and a cute, clean and quiet room we really couldn't ask for much more. Top of the line, especially for...

The location is just 5 - 7 mins away from the Firenze SMN terminal. 15-17 mins from the Firenze airport. A lot of restaurants within the area and tourist attractions are within walking distance. Silvia gives you information on areas of interest which is of great help in touring the place. There is a safe storage for bikes within the...

As a popular tourist destination, Florence isn't a cheap place for accommodations. After searching high and low, founding found this B&B House that has good reviews! Arrived early about 10am to the BBH. The owner was really friendly and she helped me with my baggage up the stairs (just one floor, not to worry). Place is located just 10 mins...

Florence is the ancient Athens of the renaissance, no need to say that you have to go there in order to follow the historical line of the european culture. But not being a rich man to find a convinient place to rest in Florence is not an easy thing to do. We were lucky enough to find Silvia's BBH. What...

I recently stayed in BBH for three nights and I would highly recommend it. Its location was brilliant, being close to the central station, and within walking distance to all the major tourist attractions. The room was decorated in a unique style and was very spacious. Sylvia was very kind, and recommended a restaurant around the corner where we went...

This is definitely one of the most charming hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a short walk from the Santa Maria Novella station and is also close to the Arno River. I got the yellow single room which was small but spotlessly clean and very well-equipped. It also features some very nice creative touches of Silvia the owner like paintings,...

Me and my partner visited Florence in the middle of August. We got to Florence at 10 pm which was later than the time we were supposed to check in, however Silvia was more than happy to check us in, which was lovely of her. She also gave us a map and told us the best places to eat for...

The BBH is lovely. Silvia is extremely helpful and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated and made us feel very cozy and the bathroom was clean. We searched thoroughly and couldn't find a better place to stay in Florence for the buck that we spent. The only think which we noticed is that the rooms can get very hot although...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
