We stayed at Casa Leopardi in April for two nights. Excellent central location within easy reach of all main attractions. Karin, the host, is exceptionally helpful and suggested some great local (non-touristy) restaurants which we really enjoyed. Would recommend to a friend.

We stayed at Casa Leopardi in May of 2014, and I must say that it was my favorite accommodation on our entire trip. Karina and her husband were very friendly and extremely helpful. We were quickly booked into museum reservations and given excellent advice regarding sights, directions and restaurants. They were so accommodating, and extremely helpful. The room and bathroom were beautiful. Everything was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect. This B&B has a ton of charm in addition to offering modern luxuries. The WiFi was perfectly usable in the common area and definitely better than most places we stayed in Italy and in Paris. Florence and Casa Leopardi were completely charming. If I am ever so lucky to return to Florence, I would definitely plan my trip around this delightful B&B.

This splendid B&B is located on the 4th floor of a historic building near Santa Croce. The rooms have been updated, but still retain a classic style. Bathrooms are clean and modern. Karen is a terrific hostess. She greeted us with a cup of Italian coffee, and proceeded to orient us to the restaurants, shopping, and sites of Florence. When we told her that we were interested in health food stores and restaurants, she knew exactly what to recommend. We ate at the restaurants that she suggested to us, and they were all winners. We were able to walk from the train station in about 20 minutes, with our rolling luggage. All of the sites of Florence, on both sides of the river, are easily walkable. For breakfast, we received a voucher for coffee and croissant (cornetto) at Café Oibo, which is located a couple of blocks away. The croissant was one of the best we had in Italy (and we had some great croissants in Italy). We actually looked forward to our breakfast experience every day. Because the B&B is located in a historic building (it was once occupied by the 19th century poet Giacomo Leopardi), they are not allowed to install elevators (lifts), and so there are about 60 steps to reach the B&B. While this was not an issue for us, we would not recommend this for people who may have mobility issues. Other than that we heartily recommend Casa Leopardi, and would definitely stay there again if we return to Florence

We stayed at B&B Casa Leopardi for six nights in the middle of October and loved the entire stay! The hostess is very friendly, organized, and helpful, with great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The room Silvia was perfect, very clean, updated very nicely, and with a nice and modern bathroom. The location is great as you can easily walk to everything you may want to see and there are great restaurants in the area. Breakfast at the nearby cafe was also very good, and we really enjoyed going there every morning. All in all, this is an excellent place to stay when in Florence and I would highly recommend to anyone looking.
