We stayed in the Centrale for 3 nights from 15-18 February. I chose the Hotel based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. It was easy to find, just a short walk from Santa Maria Novella station and very close to the Duomo. We had no problem using the little lift (though we always walked downstairs)....

This hotel was just magnificent. The location was perfect, the room was gorgeous! Everything about it was certainly value for money. The buliding is beautiful the rooms were spotless. Free online access in your room! The bathroom was just superb and we loved the shower! There was someone on reception 24 hours a day. The breakfast had a large selection...

Once you get past walking down a small alley that is actually pretty safe and walk up the two flights of stairs (thank goodness they were short steps!) the hotel is just wonderful. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is very centrally located. The breakfast was a good assortment. I was...

Location is just perfect; 5min walking from St Maria del Fiore. The hotel has been recently renovated, and spending a fortune in refurbishment they don’t very much care about the pieces of furniture, that are rather basic. Breakfast is limited in the offer range. Each room is individually decorated, honouring one of the great painters of the Renaissance. My room...

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in Hotel Centrale in June. We drove into Florence with our hire car and had a bit of trouble finding the hotel initially, when we did find it everything was perfect from there. The hotel reception rang a car park they use, and a driver came to take our car to the...

My daughter and I stayed in this hotel last week 3-6th June. VERY impressed with it. Central – as their name suggests – very near the Duomo. The room and bathroom were immaculate. The beds were extremely comfortable. Air conditioning working and easily adjusted to suit. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We couldnt work the TV – this was...

This hotel has it all for a European city. Clean and central, with accommodating staff. I would rate Hotel Centrale a '9' in all these categories. But the extra surprises were the large rooms (unheard of for that price range in Europe) and the quietness of the hotel (our room had no street noise whatsoever - just the sublime ringing...

Left Siena one day early and rather than return to the hotel we had stayed at in Florence earlier in the week (noisy and hot), we called Hotel Centrale (Via dei Conti 3) directly, booking on very short notice. Three things that were outstanding: the A/C was in operation, the room was dead quiet, and it was a 8 minute...

Lovely reception staff and lovely room we stayed in with a view of a Duomo (not the main one). Very new bathroom. Lift access, 24 hour reception. The breakfast was amazing (included) - range of cheeses, bread, meats, and sweet pastries plus the much-needed expressos! Bar and lounge area. Ideal for walking around Florence - literally down the road from...

My room was unhealthy cold for a human and remained cold despite several attempts by the concierge to fix the problem (though the computer). I had the electronic climate control turned all the way up but this did not make the room suitably warm for a human being. The shower room was also very cold. We were discouraged from taking...
