The hotel is very well located close to the train station with many restaurants nearby. I appreciated that the good size and cleanliness of the room and the windows were fairly well insulated from the noise outside.

Stayed heer 5 times now, a cracking hotel 3 mins from station. I have always been lucky enough to have room 503 which is a superior or delux 505 which has a terrace!! Both have incredible view of the Duomo. Breakfast plentiful , Staff always very helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone

We just returned from Firenze. Have a mixed feeling about the whole trip. Our check-in was relatively easy, staff were kind of efficient. The rooms are not equipped with basic facility like kettle and some sachets of coffee tea. Well that even a 3 star is having these days and Italians or basically europeans need to upgrade there. Dont know...

The hotel staff was very friendly in our three night stay in Florence. It was a quick walk to & from the train with easy access to see all of Florence's sights. Rooms were clean and breakfast had a great (European) selection. Would absolutely stay here again!

We have just returned from Florence which I must add is a beautiful city, and so was the Astoria hotel. Check-in was great and the front of house staff very informative, helpful and friendly. The room we had was big with high ceilings , it had a large bathroom with all amenities. It was also quiet. The bar was fine...

My family and I stayed here at the Astoria last September, and this February had the opportunity to return to Florence. We had a wonderful stay in September, and wondered should we try somewhere else, would it live up to our last stay? We bit the bullet and booked it! As soon as we walked through the front door we...

Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, but the hotel itself just seems a little tired, the rooms were a decent size but again a little tired and faded. We stayed for a week and there was certainly no complaint about service, the central location of this hotel I think was the positive overriding factor.

Dear guest, thank you for sharing your experience at our hotel with us. We are delighted to know you appreciated the central location of our historical palace, that belongs to the end of the xvi century and is under the care of Fine Arts. For this reason, we are not allowed us to make great changes, but we keep on...

An Italian 4 star gem. It's 4 star due to brilliant location and our room on 5th floor was outstanding. The view across Florence is incredible . The breakfast room is closer to sitting in a museum. The staff were excellent. So if you want an Italian experience not a traditional 4 star this is the place to stay. The...

Spent a weekend in Florence and stayed at the Boscolo. Very nice traditional hotel. Exactly what you would expect. The hotel staff were fantastic!! Very helpful and very nice! Had breakfast included and really enjoyed the variety. Location couldn't be better. Close to everything you'll want to see.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Boscolo Astoria Firenze is the ideal choice for your stay: you'll be accommodated in the rooms of the Palazzo Gaddi and Palazzo Arrighetti, historic buildings belonging to noble Florentine families, where art recounts the passage of centuries every step of the way. Indeed, it was while living at Palazzo Gaddi that the great English author John Milton found inspiration for his masterpiece, Paradise Lost, and in these very rooms that he wrote it. The noble past of Hotel Boscolo Astoria Firenze is also reflected in its location: the church of Santa Maria Novella, abounding in great art, is right nearby (as is the convenient railway station with the same name), and a short stroll will take you directly to Florence's historic centre. An undeniable advantage that puts the most beautiful areas of the city right at your fingertips. The prestigious salons of the luxury Hotel Boscolo Astoria Firenze, decorated in original Florentine Baroque style, are the perfect backdrop for important events. The restaurant will pamper you with typical Tuscany and Mediterranean dishes. ... more   less
