After spending five nights in a King Triple room we agreed the Hotel Spadai is simply the finest four star hotel we have ever stayed in throughout our 25 years of travelling together. It is an exceptional hotel - nothing was too much of a bother for the friendly staff, breakfast delightful and the room perfect - large, modern, stylish...

Hotel Spadai is a fantastic hotel located in the heart of Florence a block from the Duomo! Our family of four stayed in one of the junior suites during our visit in February. We loved it! The staff was fantastic! When we arrived in the afternoon, they upgraded our room to a suite as it was available and sent a...

Extremely friendly and capable staff who fulfilled all my requests and bookings without hassle. Email correspondence was efficient. Hotel is beautiful and modern. They upgraded us to the huge junior suite which has a gigantic bathroom with big shower and jacuzzi bath. Location is very central to all tourist attraction and transport. We had a very memorable stay. Thanks!

I have visited Florence on another occasion and stayed at a different hotel. This time, I was traveling with my mother and decided to give the Hotel Spadai a try, due to its good reviews and location. The experience was fantastic. First, the rooms were modern! Great amenities, USB plugs for charging and plenty of outlets. The soundproofing on the...

Thoroughly impressed with this hotel with so many positive features. Lovely breakfast, free room mini-bar, generous happy hour, and superb staff all combine to generate a wonderful ambience. We were upgraded from a deluxe room to a suite which was another bonus! The location cannot be better and there is no doubt we will return to the Spadia when next...

I wish I could give this hotel more than a 10, what a wonderful experience ww had! It started from checkin, where a big smile awaited me. We got a beautiful room on the first floor, with a balcony overlooking the street, and a lucious bubble bath. We got truly pampered, with a welcome glass of prosceco, free minibar, chocolates...

I tried to book rooms for some friends and me. The online system did not allow me to book enough rooms and so I contacted the hotel via email. Initially they were helpful but latterly just pointed me to the online booking area. When I emailed back that there were problems the hotel just didn't reply. I would not have...

We spend two nights in a deluxe room. The location is in the center of the city, only steps away from Duomo, Academy Gallery and Uffizi. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The room is perfect. I love the breakfast!

This was our second stop on our Italy tour and we loved the hotel and how close it was to everything. It looks very new and modern and we really appreciated that given our other hotels we wanted to have more charm. We didn't get to take advantage of the spa but loved the shower in our room and all...

Stayed for three nights in a deluxe room. Mere Steps from the Duomo. Beautiful, extremely comfortable and roomy. It is absolutely everything you would want or need in a hotel. The water is hot, the air is cool and the beds and pillows are dreamy. The bathroom and products were fabulous. There was a Jacuzzi tub which helped with the...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
