Loved this hotel. The people were very helpful and assisted us with excellent recommendations. The breakfast was very nice and included. The room was charming and comfortable. Our room had a sitting area and it's own private courtyard (small, but ours alone). For the price...More
Perfect location, easy walking distance to everything. Duomo, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Friendly and always helpful staff. (English speaking). Great breakfasts included, with more variety than usual. Clean, with comfortable big bed. Drinkable water. Elevator. Many thanks to Antonella, Daniel, and all the gracious staff....More
The hotel is very well located, not far from the cathedral or from the station. The four-floor building is quite historical. The staff are very helpful, and the breakfasts are good by Italian standards.
Perfect location - near but not too near the buzz of central Florence. Our room was clean, well appointed and tastefully decorated in Florentine style. Every member of staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly - from booking through to leaving. Special mention for...More
Our visit to Florence was intended to spend time with our granddaughter who is studying abroad there. The hotel was exactly what we expected, only ten times more. The delightful rooms, warm staff, delicious breakfasts were all wonderful. So well located, only blocks from the...More
San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.

During my many stays at the hotel I've seen someone at the front desk at all times, day & night, and they are right next to/have a clear line of sight to the entrance. Taxi fares from the airport to Florence are fixed rate, thinking it was around 22 euros plus 1 Euro for each bag. Might be a little extra for late night/holiday trips. Be sure to let the hotel know about your expected late arrival.

Sorry I missed this question. There is one but for our room there were still about 7 stairs up to our door so if stairs are a concern be sure to email the hotel to ask for a room that is accessible only by elevator. :)
