The location of this hotel is everything! Just a minutes walk to the Duomo and just five to ten minutes for everything else. The location made our holiday! The hotel itself is tuscan style - comfortable, clean and simple. Perfect for what we wanted and needed, especially as we were out pretty much all of the day and late into...

It's a lovely Hotel in the middle of Florence at 4-th Floor of this building, where the first three floor are occupied by Hotel Lanzi. The room it's clean, perfect for a City Break! Breakfast is good, enough. The view of Piazza Duomo, the Bell Tower of Giotto can be admired from our window! Conclusion: it's the best choice if...

This hotel is little more than a hostel. Barebones room/bed. Ensuite bathroom however. Cheap furniture and bed. The cost of $96 Euro/night is way too expensive. I think $40/45 night is more realistic. It's saving grace is the view. A rooftop terrace with indoor dining below is spectacular. You are almost sitting on top of the duomo and can see...

Nice hotel and great location for a short stay in Florence. Excellent view from the roof terrace for either evening drinks or morning breakfast. Short walk to the main town square and no further than a 10 minute walk from all the main attractions. The hotel wifi needs some improvement, only works in certain areas of the hotel.

The views from the room is staggering, it's very nice to look out and see the Duomo less than fifty metres away. Rooms are well priced, clean and functional. Breakfast is very nice served on a rooftop overlooking Florence. A big grumble would be noise levels, the lift was very noisy all through the night, and along with drunk tourists...

This is a great little hotel for the price. It is only one street away from the Duomo and about 5 minutes walk from the Ufizzi Gallery and the Gallerie Academia. There was some noise at night due to the proximity of the piazza but this is to be expected in the centre of the city. The rooms are quite...

This hotel is in a great location, very close to the Duomo. The best thing about it is the rooftop terrace, where they serve breakfast and evening drinks. It has an unbelievable view of the Duomo and the city rooftops. What a way to start the day! The room itself was quite basic and dated but clean and a good...

I have been in Florence for 3 nights but I must say - not just the city is wonderful but this hotel too. Before my arrival I didn´t have a problem to communicate with Mr Villani about my wishes etc. I have been living in single room - but it has everything what you need - it was clean with...

Stayed here for two nights recently. First of all very easy to reach from train station, about a 15 minute walk away. Stunning location, right next to the Duomo. We were amazed by the price considering the location. Booked a double room with a view. On check in we were given a large quadruple room with a 3/4 view instead....

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
