This hotel is conveniently located, staff are friendly enough but lock up your valuables. Tickets disappeared from three of our rooms, supposedly taken as trash. Also beware that the internet is not free or cheap, even though it was specifically requested. It is so hard to find great customer service.

This hotel is located centrally and a minute walk to the Duomo. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel was a little bit old and the room was a small. Regardless, you can't beat it's location. Continental breakfast was amazing, there were plenty of food to choose from. I will stay here again if I...

The hotel staff were nice and very helpful. Very close to the train station and many attractions. They stored our luggage in a safe area after early morning check-out while we visited Pisa. After our trip back from Pisa, we're able to use the bathroom facilities, rest a while, and finally leave for Venice.

We enjoyed our stay in the middle of Firenze! Friendly staff at the reception answered all our questions. You can walk from the hotel to most of the beautiful places of the town. Don't miss a walk through the enlighted city at night. There various nice bars and restaurants around.

While the room is small, but typical of many hotels in Europe, it was clean and exactly what we expected. I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff was and I got to know many of them the 4 days we were there. My thanks to Francesca, Marco, Alessandra,Alessia, Eleanora, Anna,Andrea, Lorenzo, Roberto and Geuuaro...a professional hotel staff. They...

This hotel had the best location. Right outside the front door you could see the duomo. The staff were great, you leave your key with them every day and on your return they would have your key ready, knowing you by sight. Only negative is the room is small but that is not unusual here.

Walk out the ground floor doorway and you are immediately immersed in the grace and beauty of the mesmerizing city of Florence. Walk straight ahead 1/2 block and the narrow street opens up to the awe-inspiring Duomo. There's no more beautiful spot on earth. Turn right when leaving the hotel and within a few minutes you are in Dante's neighborhood....

It was very cold inside the rooms. The air condioning only works to chill. They charge internet fee even at the Reception (I thought we are in XXI-st century). Poor breakfast, one ham, one cheese, bad coffee!

Nice location for the price, its an old hotel with rooms that are a bit worn but clean. The front desk staff was awesome, international, and answered any questions fully. Breakfast was basic assorted meats, cheeses, coffee, pastries, and fruits. Its a bit of a walk to the train with a bag, but only a $10 Euro or less taxi...

1/2 a block to the Duomo. All of the Florence sight seeing was within walking distance. Yes the room was outdated but it was clean, the place tidy, great size breakfast was good, Internet fast. Easily 30 great restaurants in a 4 block radius. I like my luxury but when I go back to Florence this is where I want to be....

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
