Atelier Cosseria was a wonderful surprise! It's situated in a quiet neighborhood with many places to go to shop or eat. It's about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Our room had a large living room in addition to the bedroom and they were spotless. Breakfast was served by the owner Marco. Marco is a most gracious host...

My wife and I spent a couple of nights at Atelier Cosseria in may 2012. I recommend the place 100% for those who want to stay close to the action but away from the crowd. The place is situated in a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. It´s spacious, confortable and clean. Marco, the owner of the place, is the most...

The Atelier Cosseria is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast in Florence. Located an easy 10 minute walk from the train station, it is clean and well appointed. The rooms are large, the breakfasts are good and the staff is excellent. Marco, the owner, went beyond the call of duty to show us things and help us recover a lost phone...

Very clean and comfortable. Large spacious room and good shower room. Owners went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We were delayed and only just made the last bus from Pisa. Marco collected us from the station and even though it was very late he still took the time to recommend places to visit and good places...

It's a bit far from the centre of Florence - about 10-15min walk. The hotel does not have a reception (it is an apartment with several rooms and a kitchen) so it is advisable to warn them of your arrival time, so that there may be someone there to meet you and let you in. The owner went out of...

The rooms are modern, very clean and quiet. The "Atelier Cosseria" B&B is located in a quiet suburb at only 10min walk from the main train station and the city center. The breakfast is good with enough choice. The hosts are very welcoming and helpfull (ex: he call for us the Office museum to book a visit for the next...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.

“It is a recently refurbished hotel, decorated simply but beautifully, good showe., Soft white towels are provided and comfortable beds. Breakfast is ample, eggs.cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurt, toast, and freshly made great coffee, to set you of for the day's exploring.
