I stayed at Hotel Beatrice from Sept 24-28. It is a family-run hotel and Constantino, the owner, welcomed us warmly. Rooms are ok, bathroom was bigger than I expected, the location was close to excellent. When I checked out, however, I was slapped with a 3% surcharge for using my credit card. I was never informed that there would be...

This hotel is a five minute walk from the main train station in Florence which is wonderful when dragging your bags behind you. You can find a ton of restaurants, grocery stores and a short walk to the main sites from this location. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the staff very warmly in which we received a map...

I can't say that I loved the Hotel Beatrice, but it definitely served our purposes. It was close to the train station, which was convenient for our business travel. The staff was, indeed, just as nice as other reviewers commented. However, don't think that this place is exactly a luxury hotel. It is pretty outdated and minimalist, the breakfast is...

Book it. This place was wonderful. Constantino was the most warm, friendly and helpful Italian we encountered on our entire trip. The hotel was nicely located, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was nice. We were very happy with our choice to stay there and I know you will be too.

A hidden gem in more than one sense. Although difficult to find at first, my wife and I were made very welcome for the four nights we stayed there. The hotel has been family run for 50 years and Constantino went out of his way to provide helpful, friendly, advice on what to see, where to eat, and made telephone...

Just returned from trip to Italy , Milan, Florence and Venice. Stayed at the Beatrice for two nights. Extremely close to train and bus station so very easy to find. When arriving at hotel the actual hotel is on the third floor of a building on a narrow street. It looks quite intimidating when you enter the lobby. The hotel...

We have stayed in this delightful family run hotel three times & have always been treated warmly by everyone!! A wonderful experience for a simple and nice 3 star hotel ~ better than some more upscale 3 star hotels we have stayed in anywhere in Europe. Costantino, is a gem and has great command of English. Along with the way...

I went to school in Florence in 1995 and lived at this hotel. We stayed here again in 2005 on my first trip back to Florence. The same family still runs it and they remembered me! The location is convenient to Santa Maria Novella train station, but far enough away not to be a scary location. The hotel is on...

I made a reservation to stay in this hotel over the phone last year. I called them to book the room in order to ensure that there was a 24 hour reception. The owner's wife, who seemed to be lovely on the phone, ensured me that there was. On arrival, I was told that the hotel closes at 10pm and...
