Great little BNB in a fantastic location in florence - right near the duomo, san lorenzo and accademia museum. Rooms were massive - biggest in europe so far. The lady that works there/owner (forgot her name) is marvelous, recommended all the must see sights, tours,...More
This place is probably a great choice if you know what to expect. I was disappointed overall but still pleased with the location for what we payed. The staff here were wonderful and the hotel is just around the corner from the Duomo. We only...More
This hotel was conveniently located very close to the Duomo. It had high ceilings and was air conditioned. Be aware that there are many, many stairs and no elevator. However, the water cooler at the front entrance made it all worthwhile.
Residenza dei Pucci is a stud. Just minutes from both the Accademia and the Duomo, this B&B offers a perfectly situated homebase for any traveling pack looking to conquer the birthplace of the Renaissance. Our room is clean, moderately spacious, and completely adequate. Tall ceilings...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

Not sure about the train as we drove and paid a fortune to park. As for security, there is no overnight staff and we were warned to deadbolt our doors. This alarmed me and I looked back and found a couple reports of break ins in older reviews. We didn't have any issues, but I wouldn't go back. It's a great location though.
