This is delightful little B&B, comfortable, set in a lovely garden and well decorated. Luca is a charming and very helpful host. The only little complaint would be that the plumping in the rooms has one of those extraction pumps that starts up very time any water is sent to drain. It is a little noisy and has a slightly...

We stayed at the Duchess for 3 nights at the end of September and didn't want to leave! From the instant we met Luca he made us feel more than welcome into his home and you immediately knew that you were going to have a great stay. We arrived late afternoon and were given coffee and malba toast topped with...

This B&B combines the style and elegance of a 5* hotel, with the charm and 'insider knowledge' of your own personal guide to Florence. My husband and I booked four nights here as we wanted to experience Florence and the surrounding area in a relaxed manor with good food and wine being of importance to us. The Duchess has beautifully...

This charmingly renovated 300 year old house became "my home away from home" from the first moment Luca, the owner and manager showed me to my room. The room was spacious and inviting with a large, modern bathroom attached. There was a lovely breakfast room where I was served an excellent breakfast each morning by the charming Irena, who in...

We choose this boutique Hotel (only 3 rooms) for it's convenient location, close to the address of our business meeting. For visiting Florence it is a bit far out, unless you use public transport or bikes. The rooms are very nice, well decorated, comfortable. All new, at least that is the impression I had. No elevator. Breakfast is OK, but...

When I chanced upon Duchess, I was immediately drawn to the beautiful pictures of the property and elegant website. However, there were limited reviews on Tripadvisor which puzzled me, hence I didn't know what to expect, but thought to take the chance anyway...(I later realised that it only recently opened for business late 2012). Now that my husband and I...
