This place is simply a dream. From the moment you walk in, you feel as if you are visiting family, which is refreshing for a hotel experience. Gone is the cold check in process, JK does things differently. Every detail has relationship in mind. The...More
I have stayed in more than one JK Place Hotels and loved all of them. Perfect service, amazing location and just beautiful. It is a very chic and elegant place! Even if you are not staying, drop by for a tea! Love it!

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.

We booked a superior double room which did not face the Palazzo. The room was very nice, quiet and had a large bathroom, but did not have much of a view. The Piazza is usually restricted to traffic unless they have a permit, but emergency vehicles are allowed access. Since we stayed in August, there was not as much traffic as June. I suggest contacting the hotel directly for more information on the noise level for Palazzo. Hope this helps.
