I have visited Florence many times and always stay at Il Bargellino. Every time it feels like coming home (if I lived in Italy, that is). I'm always sorry to have to leave, but I will return. The terrace is a wonderful place to relax, chat with other guests or eat a picnic meal.

Thank tussey

This is a wonderful small hotel in a convenient, quiet location. It is within easy walking distance of all the major Florence sights. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. My husband and I found it so pleasant to spend some quiet time on the terrace after a day of sightseeing and before going out to dinner. Carmel,...

The hotel was fantastic, located within easy walking distance (10-15 mins) of most major sights in Florence as well as the train/bus station. I chose this hotel for my first solo trip and first time in Florence and was not disappointed. I stayed in a single room and from previous reviews I was aware the hotel had shared bathrooms so...

We stayed here in May. I had the room with the window facing the patio, but had access to the patio right outside my room. My parents had a room facing the patio with doors leading onto it. We all loved staying at this little hotel. It is personal as the owners live there and both are very friendly and...

Many of the previous reviewers have described the warmth and charm of this Hotel. Carmen and Pino provide a warm welcome and are endlessly helpful. We left our camera on a city bus on a Sunday afternoon! Carmen's extraordinary connections and quick thinking result in our being able to pick up the camera from the bus depot. But more importantly...

Hotel Bargellino was perfect for a couple of gals traveling together. Location is near all the main sights, with easy walking to everything. Carmel, the owner is welcoming, and lovely to deal with. She even supplied ear plugs for the rooms street side. (There are rooms that open onto an interior rooftop patio). Everything was so very clean and well...

I stayed at Il Bargellino for 10 days in September. This B&B was recommended by my friend who knew the owners, Carmel and Pino. The location was fantastic, easily accessible to all major sites and the train station. Pino and his niece Rosita were so helpful! Rosita helped me plan day trips to Cinque Terre and Siena/Chianti. The hotel was...

A wonderful, convenient place to stay in Florence. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Having access to the patio was one of the favourite things about our stay, we had our breakfast in the morning sunshine and felt so fortunate.

This hotel didn't disappoint. It said what it was going to do. It's a basic hotel with no frills. Very eclectic in style. Our Room was on the first Floor ( no lift) and was spacious and spotlessly clean. The room opened out onto a pleasent and spacious courtyard. It would have been wonderful if there was an option for...
