We stayed at Hotel Nizza for only one night. Friendly owner behind the reception desk. Later that day a friendly young girl and a very nice lady. Might be a family running this hotel. Check in not before 2pm but no issues to leave the...More
The blanket colour is old fashioned. The double bed is actually combined by 2 single beds. They are totally uncomfortable. After 2 night sleep, my neck and back are painful.
The air-conditioning doesn't work well and we suffered from mosquito bites. We were told to...More

Thanks for your kind feedback. Most of our beds are all new orthopedic mattresses and most of them are 2 join together with a zip to make them double if needed (which makes double much better then a double classic mattress). Beside using air conditioning...More
Comfortable rooms, safe, very good breakfast and good staff. It's located 5 min from the train station and in walking distance from the main attractions in Florence. I stayed 3 nights with my family and we had a very pleasant stay. I recommend it!
Agree with many of the reviews. Its a small family run (i think) hotel. Very kind and hospitable. Rooms are clean and good value for price. Breakfast included ( simple european style with some meats). I would recommend staying here again. If you want to...More
The hotel is in a charming historical building located very close to the main train station (SMN) - 5 minutes walking and also to the Duomo and other famous attractions in the city.

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
