My Husband and I spent a wonderful five days in Florence at the beginning of April 2012. We stayed at the Hotel Lido. The hotel was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. The personnel were welcoming helpful and accommodating. The hotel was cosy and fresh. The breakfast buffet was very good and varied with something for everyone’s...

the hotel its in a good location! it's walking distance from the duomo, restaurants that are not as expensive as everything in the city centre, the staff there is really nice, helpful, but the rooms are old, it doesn't really give a clean aspect and the showers are too small!

Both ladies at the front desk were very helpful. Room was clean but space was limited (typical of most hotels in Europe). Location was pretty good- could walk to most locations within 20-30 min but not as ideal. Need a cab to get here from the train station. Breakfast was of very basic quality but was included in the price....

We stayed at this hotel because the hotel associated with the conference we were going to was fully booked. In the end, we were quite happy that we stayed here rather than at the hotel we had originally intended to stay at. The hotel was comfortable, not too far from the old town, and the staff were very friendly and...

We made a reservation and prepaid our stay to Lido about 2 months before our stay there. On the day we arrived to this hotel we were informed by the receptionist that our had a "problem that happened just the day before" and we couldn't stay there. Instead they offered to transfer us to hotel river, a hotel of the...

Although this hotel is a 15 minute walk from the centre - you can walk along the beautiful river bank and it really doesnt seem that far. The staff were very helpful and had good english.
