We chose this place to stay in Florence because of it's excellent location and were pleasantly surprised at everything it offered. Family run, the staff is extremely helpful and will go out of their way to help you with anything you wish to do in Florence, directions, suggestions, and any other concerns. The rooms were lovely and you also receive...

Based on the reviews, I was expecting a little more upgraded accommodations than what we got. I guess, after all the hotel is a two star and we opted for a regular room, not a suite. The room was small, and the bathroom tiny. There was really no room to move in the bathroom and the shower was so small...

Management response:

We thank these clients for their comment. First of all we would like to point out that the clients reserved a standard room for 70,00 Euros a day which by today's exchange rate is 84.91 USD and therefore cannot expect an upgraded room, which are naturally our suite rooms. The difference between suites and standard rooms is that our suites...

I picked this hotel based on previous reviews and was not disappointed (once I got past the bldg entrance). As posted in previous reviews the building entrance where the hotel is located may initially throw you off but the rooms are very nice. The hotel is located on the 2nd & 3rd floors of a larger building but you have...

We really enjoyed our stay at this good value hotel, we stayed up stairs in the 'rooms' section. Our room looked as if it had once been part of a grand house with a fresco still visable on the ceiling. the bathroom was a little small, but for the price we paid, the location was stunning! Best of all was...

The hotel met and exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed in a great room on the 2nd floor and loved everything about it: price, location and the amazing staff. Thank you for making our visit to Florence very special and making us want to come back. I have no problem recommending this hotel to anyone going to Florence. *****

Truly a wonderful hotel in Florence. We stayed in the Dante Suite and couldn't be happier. Gassim & his daughter took great care of us and made sure we found our way around Florence - they both speak perfect English as well, so no worries there. There was a standard breakfast every morning starting at 7:30pm with cereal, fruit, coffee,...

After arriving at a dissapointing main entrance, the rest of our stay was excellent. The family who run the hotel made us so welcome. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. It was most excellent value for money. When visitng Florence again we will look no further than to stay at the Hotel Europa, for Peace and Art.

What a great stay. We reserved a quad room for my wife and I plus our two children. It was by far the biggest room we stayed in on our trip. Everything was clean, the staff was polite and helpful, and the breakfast was more than adequate. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this fairly priced, conveniently located hotel to anyone. P.S....

My family of 5 (three teenage daughters) spent two days at the Europa over the new year. Gassim, Miriam and all the staff provided us with a wonderful time. The rooms provided were clean and spacious with a newly renovated bathroom. They organisd the parking and garaging of our car without a hassle. Breakfast provided was of good quality and...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
