We loved this place- excellent staff, the front desk is amazing. Breakfast is delicious- fresh baked croissants and delicious espressos! The room is well kept and clean. It's on the smaller side but it's still really nice. Would definitely stay again!

The city is small, and sometimes the city map can make you feel the opposite. Even though choosing where you gonna stay make difference, and Cimatori is, in my perspective, a good choice. The Via Dante Alighieri is very very near from Piazza della Signora, as well as, from Duomo. There are many trattorias, osterias and ristorants close to this...

Location is really great, close to train station, and buses. Very easy to find, and owners very friendly. My room was very nice, large enough for two. Breakfast was always on time with fresh croissants and coffee. The view from my window wasn't the most amazing, but you just have to walk a few meters away to have view on...

9 of us, family & friends, no children stayed at Cimatori for three nights. We enjoyed our stay here. Understanding that this B&B is in a historical building right in downtown florence near Pallazzo Vecchio & uffizi gallery, a couple rooms are smaller & bathrooms are very small. Other rooms much bigger. The hotel owner & Valeria were very accommodating...

After walking up and down the road, we found the room. The host came down and carried our luggage up. Very friendly and offered information on things to see. The room was very clean, small, tiny bathroom. Location was great. Breakfast consisted of some prepackaged foods, some fresh fruits and fresh croissant. We stayed 2 nights, higher price than outside...

The location is great. They are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean. The breakfast is smashingly good by comparison with the standard Italian breakfasts served in other hotels  The only negative thing; no elevator available, you have to climb up stairs. But we loved this place anyway. I definitely recommend you to stay here.

Nice clean and spacious room in an interesting historic building, very friendly welcome from Valeria, who greeted us at breakfast with her homemade cake. Breakfast is continental and perfectly satisfactory. This is Italy - don't expect a full English! The location is ideally placed in the historic centre of Florence, and just minutes away from many of the places of...

We stayed here three nights. We arrived early and they shuffled their room assignments, to give us a room very early in the morning. The room itself was huge, the bathroom was updated and clean, the wifi worked consistently and well. The location is great, very convenient to all of the attractions and the train station is walkable. We would...

I stayed in B&B Cimatori for 4 nights. The location was great, right between Duomo and Uffizi Museum. The owner Domenico was very friendly and helpful. He made my visit a great experience. I enjoy Florence very much and highly recommend B & B Cimatori for its value.

Very pleased with the location of this hotel - right in the heart of Florence and at a reasonable price. Rooms are nice and clean. Small bathroom but that's to be expected in Europe. Receptionist could improve her customer service skills but otherwise a pleasant stay.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
