The B & B Cimatori was located in the middle of everything, we could walk to all the places - go right and in 5 min there is Piazza Duomo, go left and in 2 min there is Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio. Very nice café just across of hotel. Room was clean, only shower was very small. Breakfast was...

We parked our car in a garage not far away, about under 10 mins walk. Euro 27 per night. Breakfast and internet included but terribly weak and slow. Worst internet connection ever. Breakfast served between 830 and 1030am. Stale soft fruit, plain corn flakes, burnt croissants, jam, butter, tea, coffee, orange juice, chocolate cake, biscuits. Yoghurt and cheese in fridge...

This place is just a few streets away from the Duomo, right in the heart of Florence. We were able to walk here from the train station too. They are in a building that has another bed and breakfast and other residents so make sure you know the address. Also make sure you have contacted them as to when your...

On 25 July 2015, we arrived at the B&B Cimatori expecting to once again LOVE Florence for my seventh trip there. Instead, I was greeted with an unpleasant situation that escalated to hostility and contempt for me, the customer (and my family). I have lived in Italy for 3 ½ years and have traveled extensively during this time. I work...

Thank you very much for your time. I'm so sorry about the feeling you had regarding your Cimatori experience. Unfortunately, the personal perception of reality is often the cause of great misunderstanding so I will only talk about the facts but I will be more than glad if you give us another opportunity to let you appreciate our renowned hospitality....

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The B&B was in the heart of everything and was an amazing base to explore Florence from. The breakfast was generous with many things to choose from: cornetto, cake, biscuits, cereal, and possibly yogurt (looked like some people had some, but we were never offered any so...

My husband and I spent two wonderful nights at the Cimatori B&B. The location is perfect! Just down the street from the Uffizi and everything you want to see in Florence. I felt like the B&B was our own home! Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very quiet. We did not have time to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, but...

B&B Cimatori was a great experience. The owners went above and beyond to answer questions, print documents, and call taxis. The breakfast in the morning was delicious- homemade croissants and pastries, cereals, breads, fruit, and all of the usual beverages. The location was excellent- we were able to walk to any restaurant or attraction with ease. The main downside during...

Very nice hotel in the beautiful city of Firenze, very close to city center, on the same street as Dante's house. Very kind hosts, delivering informations and good advises to enjoy the city. The only negative point was de very very small bathroom (Violet room).

This was my first trip to florence and first time in a ned and breakfast. I couldn't be more pleased with the experience! We went down to florence from Venice for a three night stay. We arrived by train and walked to the B&B because it's practically in the heart of florence. Many landmarks are within walking distance --it's a...

We arrived on a Sunday early to mid-afternoon and were able to check in immediately, thanks to prior communication with Valeria. Our room was clean and comfortable - the bathroom is small by US standards, but it's Europe, so it met our expectations! The TV had some relatively minor issues with the picture, but that wasn't a big deal for...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
