Marina, our hostess, did a great job making us feel like we where in our own home. The room we had was spacious, very clean, had all the amenities we needed and a gorgeos view overlooking the Duomo Plaza. Marina made us breakfast that included everything from eggs and meat, cheese, yogurt, OJ and coffee and fruit. Location was in...

Spent 2 delightful nights in this top rated B&B. Had reserved 5 rooms as we were a group of 9 traveling together. The accomadations were excellent. The staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Guiliana made reservations for us 2 nights for dinner in very nice local restaurants. Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were of good size and...

We stayed here and loved it! The room was lovely, the breakfast was outstanding. The view was amazing, just looking out the open window and watching the activities going on was great. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Both ladies were sweet and very accommodating. We even had a small issue with the hot water and they applied...

I have nothing but positive things to say about our recent stay at A Florence View. Giuliana, our host, was amazing – so informative, kind, and helpful. The location of the B&B was prefect – located meters away from Santa Maria Cathedral and 10 minutes walk away from the train station. The facilities and rooms were great. Breakfast was yummy....

B&B Florence View was the most perfect accommodation in Florence! So central - throw open your shutters and wake up every morning to the Duomo Piazza right at your feet. Giuliana is a fantastic host with great travel tips and is extremely helpful and accommodating. I stayed in the red room, which was absolutely beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Can't recommend...

I stayed in this hotel for only one night. It was difficult to find it in the first place as it is located on a busy place with restaurants on both sides. There is a single door with a small name plate. It took me almost 20 minutes to locate the entrance. There is a staircase which leads to the...

We weren't in the room much so chose a less expensive room without a view which was good because there is a bar playing really bad euro disco all day/night downstairs. Sadly it rather tarnishes the experience of the beautiful duomo and the baptistry just next to it. having said that, the bnb was accommodating and friendly and breakfast was...

Looking out the window at the Duomo and the Baptistery was truly a "pinch me" experience. The bed was comfortable and though the square was busy, when we shut the window the thick wall made the room very quiet. Some hammering noise evidently kept my husband awake for a while one night, but I was dead to the world and...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
