Hotel Giotto was about 10min walk from Florence SMN Train Station. The 2star family owned hotel has a neon lighted signboard stating "Hotel Giotto". Around it there were many choices of restaurants, around the corner there's Conad Supermart, and a short 15min walk to Basilica Duomo. Upon reaching the hotel, search for the buzzer to get the main door unlock....

The high score is mainly down to the location, you can't get more central and excellent value for money. I was travelling with my son through Italy, so affordable and very clean. Very friendly, felt like I was staying with a family more than a hotel. You have to walk up stairs to get to the hotel, so not good...

It is a great location for the price. But not a room with a view. Although the breakfast terrace does have a view of the Duomo. WiFi didn't work. Breakfast ok. It's average. But for the price what would you expect in the centre of Florence

Friendly, helpful staff. Room was very clean & comfortable. Central secure location - easy walk to main attractions. Buffet continental breakfast offered variety of choices - was very good!! Several flights of stairs and staff helped with our luggage on arrival & departure.

This hotel is located in the best starting point for seeing the sights of Florence. Your no more than a 10 minute walk of Mercato Centrale, all the main squares and museums. The accommodations are adequate and clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. If youre looking for no frills in the middle of everything, I'd recommend this hotel.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Our room was room 21 and it was quite big. There was the bedroom and another room in the middle between the bathroom and the bedroom where we put our luggage to avoid cluttering the bedroom. The private bathroom was quite big and we were provided with two bath toweks and another two...

Very close to attractions such as the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, train station, restaurants, bars, central market. Staff are very friendly and carried our heavy luggage up the stairs as there is no lift. Whilst you don't hear much of the outside noise, the walls are very thin and you hear a lot of the noises made by other...

The hotel is nicely located at walking distance from several attractions in the city, such as the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria. Furthermore, it is at walking distance from the main train station. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity.

A quirky hotel which we liked. Very central - minutes away from the station, central market and Duomo. There are two good, reasonably priced restaurants opposite the hotel so no need to travel far for dinner. Our room was on the 2nd floor (63 steps from the street, so not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties) and overlooked the back of...
