I went to Florence to visit my son who goes to university there and stayed here for 6 nights. This is not a 5 star hotel but a small family run hotel with hardworking and pleasant owners. The hotel is on the second floor and does not have an elevator. The building is old (you are in Florence!) but everything...

Spent day on a business trip combined with family lesure trip. Hotel location is convenient as it is just a few blocks from downtown. Rooms are clean and decent. Overall value for money is probably good. On the down side, hotel corridors smell terribly (tobaco?), and personel not really friendly, a bit too tight...

I have stayed at this hotel several times before. It is nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is family run and the owners do out of their way to accommodate you. The reception doesn't usually open until 6 am, but one of the owners arranged to be up at 4 am so he could call me...

We booked this hotel at short notice as all the 3 or 4 star hotels we tried were full. We were a little apprehensive but this hotel was a real gem. Claudio and his family couldn't have done more for us, whether it was a packed breakfast due to an early start or an extra pillow. The hotel is a...

If you want to be in walking distance of central Florence and can climb a few stairs, this is for you. It is run by a family who all work there and work very hard. They are kind and helpful and will pick you up at the airport and carry your bags upstairs. They are knowledgeable and friendly. Antiques and...

Seriously, this place is absolutely awful. We found it as part of a late package deal so we were not expecting the Hilton, but what we got was beyond bad. Reception is up a flight of stairs, no help with luggage. We were 'greeted' by a surly man who would not give us keys until we paid for breakfasts. We...

Just wonderful family owned hotel. We stayed for 7 nights in Florence and were lucky enough to pick this hotel. We were in room 24 on the top floor and yes we did get our exercise from 40 stairs from main door to our room but so so worth it. Very convenient location, easy walking distance to all Florence tourist...

Our first visit to Florence at the start of a 14 day drive around selected parts of Italy. We spent three nights at this nice, friendly hotel. Don't expect big hotel chain atmosphere, instead enjoy a relaxed almost family ambiance to your stay. No great frills but a comfortable room and friendly staff make for an enjoyable stay. Claudio (not...

We stayed only in a triple room with a loft for one night. It has no window in downstairs. Can you imagine how dark the room is? The room size and facility is like a hostel . The street is also too spooky, dangerous and unpleasant. and dana inconvenient location. Also, management was less than honest. Our family of 3 misbooked the...

dear lady I would like to respond to your unfair review in 4 points: -point First, when booking a double room, it is for 2 people and not three persons, at this point the room becomes a triple room which has a higher cost. -point Second, the room has a raised window as the hotel is in a historic building...
