Nothing fancy but beds are comfy, wifi is free, and Luca is an excellent hotelier! The location couldn't be more perfect, just minutes (on foot) to the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, and other fabulous Firenze sights. I especially loved the artwork. Prints in the rooms but originals in the hallways.

This little hotel is located within 3 minutes walk to either duomo or piazza vecchio, which couldn't have been better. The bathroom is quite spacious, comparing to the size of the room. The facility is fine, considering the category of the room. The window looks out to the walls of the neighbor, which is less than ideal. Occasionally the sound...

The location was excellent, being actually in the historic part of town and no more than 5 minutes from the major sites. Easy come and go, we were given keys for all the doors. Although basic, breakfast was fine and was enough to get you going. Because of the location we were able to easily pop back to the hotel...

Very nice place, extremely courteous staff, great breakfast and comfy bed. The hotel is centrally located to all the major attractions and walkable to even the train station at SMN. Only drawback is it is on the 3rd floor and the elevator is iffy.

Have just come back from a 4 night stay at this quaint little hotel. The room was clean, beds comfortable and bathroom sufficient ... breakfast was ok, the same everyday of cereal, packet croissant, toast and yoghurt and either tea or coffee. ... wasn't anything special but a good start to the day. The hotel is in the perfect location...

This B&B is located right in the middle of the action down a quiet little street. The hotel itself is a little old, small, and plain but the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast room was great to use at any time of day and really extended the living space beyond your room. It was nice to have...

We had this hotel booked for 2 nights. We were arriving a little later in the evening, but we did call to inform them. Had a hard time finding the hotel and when we did, staff was extremely RUDE and hotel lobby was disgusting. Staff got right in my brothers face stating he needed to go to bed. Needless to...

This very pleasant B&B is within walking distance of virtually everything we wanted to see in beautiful Florence. My friend and I had two single rooms both of which were spacious, bright, airy and clean. The en suite bathrooms were a good size and well-maintained. Breakfast was ample although pretty much the same every day so you might want to...

We loved our stay at the FIIdM! What great Italian experience it was to be in a 2nd floor, extremely old Florence property. There is an elevator, thankfully. Lucca, the manager of the hotel was most helpful in every way. Check in, breakfast every morning, housekeeping, directions and information and checkout all went smoothly. Our room had a kingsize bed...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
