I was put into this hotel by one I had a reservation with that could not fulfill it. They said Monica is a comparable, two star hotel, but I think otherwise. The location isn't too bad; very close to the train station and a modest walk to city center. The bed was saggy, the street noise kept me up, the...

Excellent location just down the road from a lovely strip of restaurants and a short walk to touristy attractions. Room was big! Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was fine. Only way up to the hotel was a flight of stairs. Not good for pregnant lady with suitcases. Noisy inefficient air-conditioning

The plus point was that the rooms were clean. The hotel is quite close to the train station, and finding it was quite easy. Florence is small so everything is walkable from the hotel. Staff was great. Breakfast was fine - good value for the price point. Wifi was working fine.

This place is not a five star hotel so do not walk in expecting that. It took us a minute to adjust when we first arrived. The room was small and the four of us each had a small cot like bed. Very small window kind of made us feel closed in. However, for the price....the location was excellent. The...

We stayed at the Hotel Monica for three nights this past October. We found the room a bit spartan but otherwise clean and comfortable. The accommodations were basic but the location and price were right. The hotel is located only a couple blocks from the train station and within easy walking distance of all the major tourist sites in the...

This hotel was very accommodating. While the room was tiny, it had everything you needed and felt cozy. The staff was very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was satisfying with a variety of things to choose from. The location was excellent--a five-minute walk from the train station and five minutes from the Duomo and leather market.

This hotel was ideal for sightseeing Florence / Pisa Occupying 1st and 2nd floors off typical terraced housing along typical Italian street, short walk from station and close to everything you need. Rooms very clean, air conditioned, basic furniture, nice powerful hot shower, in fact all you need when just using a room as a base. If you are looking...

Excellent location, just a few minutes from the rail way station and from all other main attractions. Room was spacious and extremly clean. Friendly staff and the breakfast was a great start for my long working day! For me it was also perfect because just a few steps far away from the fortress da basso exhibition fair!
