Staff not friendly, location on busy shopping street, breakfast was not good at all, service was rude. Not even a 1 star.

Giada Hotel is very conveniently situated within a short walking distance from the Santa Maria Novella train station, and from most of the cultural sights in Florence. My partner chose to stay here, firstly because we received an incredible rate on Expedia (although for the price we paid, we weren't expecting too much, nor were we disappointed), and secondly because...

The Hotel Giada is a good value for the location and amenities offered. This is not a high-class hotel, but nor are you paying those prices. The location close to the Duomo and heart of Florence was very nice, we were able to easily walk everywhere. The hotel was clean & the staff was helpful. One thing I would warn...

The hotel is situated smack bang in the middle of the San Lorenzo markets - which is great if you're a keen shopper and we didn't find the location too noisy either. However, our stay started with a confusing interaction where the receptionist offered us an alternative room because ours was apparently not ready - but when we viewed the...

If you're on a budget and need a wonderful place to stay in Florence, email Eva ([--]) at the Hotel Giada. The central location, with a view of Michelangelo's New Sacristy in San Lorenzo, is fantastic. It is comfy, clean, and the owner, Eva, just might become your friend for life. :>) The breakfast room is so cozy, I have...

I can't even begin to tell you what a terrible time we had at this hotel. This hotel NEARLY ruined our whole trip. Our room looked NOTHING like the photos. Our King size bed was two twin beds pushed together, with a rather large gap between them. It did not have the amenities listed. The television didn't work. The windows...

First of all, the Hotel Giada's location could not be better! It is just across the street from the Medici Chapels, about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo. It was easy to find, although their sign is very small and the market out front was very crowded. The reception area and breakfast room were old, but very pleasant and...

We stayed at the Giada hotel for 3 nights and it was quite sufficient for our needs. The breakfast in the morning was not much to write home about, but at least it was included and gave us something to start our day. The beds were comfortable and we got a quite room. We had read reviews of the rooms...

Just home today after a trip to Italy 4 nights in Rome 3 nights in Florence staying in the Giada Hotel. The hotel is extemely basic more like hostel accomodation than a hotel so don't expect a hotel. The place is extremely shabby and very old but having said that the room was quiet & clean. The down side the...

We stayed in Hotel Giada from 10th of May to 13rd of May 2009. It was very easy to find, since it is only 10 minutes walk distance from santa maria novella train station to the hotel. There was always a public market in front of the hotel and we bought presents for our friend from there. The staff was...
