Whilst travelling through Italy, another 'good value' hotel I came across was Hotel Eden. I had the pleasure of staying over for a night and welcomed with an 'old style hotel' feeling. It was the combination of friendly service, a cosy room and lovely Italian...More
This hotel was great because of its amazing value and location. It is a 5 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station, so it is in the middle of everything. Despite its central location, the rooms are very quiet and peaceful. The room was...More

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
