The b&b is right in the center of Florence next to the cathedral , perfect for short stay and visiting the city because you have all the interesting places in walking distance. The owners are very nice and helpful. The only downside of our stay was that the second night our heating system didn't work and there were no instructions...

The location of this place is ideal. An easy walk to everything in the town center. With that said, hopefully you can climb stairs, it was difficult to ever get the elevator within a decent time. Our room had a magnificent view of the bell tower and duomo, but we had a front row seat to all the bell chimes....

Large basic room with fair to good breakfast, they have travel books to borrow. Great view of nearby famous buildings, short to medium walk from train station if you don't get lost or have trouble finding the front door. Fantastic front office lady called Sylvia very helpful with local knowledge. This place is so handy to everything in this lovely...

My husband and I just stayed here in November. The room was clean and nice, bathrooms decent, the breakfast was standard fare...self service coffee, cornetto, cheese, etc... and the view of the Duomo from the terrace was incredible. You really are a few steps from the Duomo and everything else you want to see. Very centrally located. You can't beat...

I stayed for a week here while I was taking an Italian class. It was great. The rooms are big, the breakfast has a lot of variety, everything is really clean, the beds are comfortable, and the location is ideal. It is right up the street from the Ponte Veccio and around the corner from the Duomo. You take a...

This was our fourth stay at Residenza Giotto, a wonderful B&B literally steps from the Duomo and Baptistry. Each time we stay here we are impressed with the treatment we receive from the staff (Silvia, Barbara, Francesca, and Giorgio). Everyone here is so friendly and helpful and they truly enjoy making your stay as pleasant as possible. The location could...

Francesca, Barbara and Silvia are fantastic! The hotel is clean and well-kept. I love that it is only six rooms. The quirky elevator is fun and you feel like you're in a secret, secure apartment. The terrace is beautiful and I spent a lot of time out there. Other occupants are warm and friendly. The breakfast is sufficient as we...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
