The Soggiorno Antica Torre is located in the heart of the city, in the most famous piazza in Florence: the Piazza Signoria. The pensione winds around the central part of an ancient tower from the XI century. Almost all the rooms have original ceilings and beams. The floors are oak wood. The wood furniture is in classic Italian style; all the rooms are furnished with antiques pieces, some coming from the Medici-Riccardi Palazzo, the city residence of Cosimo dei Medici.

This apartment is a “true find”! It is impeccably clean. It has an updated bathroom. There is excellent communication with the owners and staff and they are friendly. You will have everything you need here. The owner has taken care to address the small things which make a stay nice (maps, decor, in-room fridge, snacks and drinks in the room, etc). There is a nice reception area/dining area with microwave, coffee maker, stove, dining table, dishes and utensils, etc. very close to the rooms. Rooms are a nice size. Finally, you cannot beat the location! Right near the Uffizi museum and Duomo and good shopping and restaurants. So glad we found this!

This beautiful old tower with amazing history and bang in the heart of Florence was perfect. Pamela and Simone were super helpful lovely friendly people. Right above restaurants and cafes, you didn't have far to go to grab breakfast and watch the world go by. There are alot of steps, but after the first flight there is a lift. We had room 6 with a very large bathroom attached at the back off the kitchen dining room. Next time we said to Pamela we will have a room at the front. We Loved this hotel 🥰

The venue is ideally located in the historical center of Florence, a few steps from major highlights like Uffizi museum and Palazzo Vecchio, and 10-15 min to Palazzo Pitti, Duomo, Medici palace and Accademia. We rented the Gold room and the stunning view, gorgeous furniture and high comfort are really worth the visit. Simona was a very kind and helpful guest. The only small inconvenience is the stairs to climb from the street level to the first floor and elevator : they might be tiring e.g. if you have lots of heavy luggage. But besides this little thing, and a basic breakfast, we had a wonderful stay in Florence and Soggiorno Antica Torre. Definitely plan to go back !

The location is fantastic! Right in the middle of everything that is wonderful about Florence. Staying for five days in a ninth-century tower was magical. The hosts (owner Pamela and manager Simona) made us feel right at home, like we were friends visiting from afar. The common room with large table and kitchen was a great place to unwind after a long day. We were surprised the breakfast included in our rate was pre-packaged cereal, cookies, croissants and boxed juice and milk left in our room on a trolley, but this was fine, as we preferred to get fresh cappuccino and croissants at the local cafe and took the breakfast as snacks for our travels throughout the day. This place is a true gem.

I have been staying at this hotel in Florence for 10 years. Its family owned and run very efficiently. You will not find a more centrally located, affordable hotel. Pamela and Simona will welcome you. See picture. Newly installed sound dampening windows eliminate any street or cathedral bell noise. Definitely the best local hotel in Florence!

Service is practically inexistent. Claims to offer printing services but couldn't even get the printer to work. Both staff were showing impatience as they tried to help us. For the amount they charge per night, we can't get an extra coffee capsule since we lost one to the machine. The younger lady even called us out when she thought we were already leaving without paying the city tax. Mind you our luggage were still inside the room. We just had to step out to buy coffee since we were not given extra (that i was willing to pay for). You have to climb a flight of stairs with your suitcase before you can take the lift. Only the location has got it going for them. The rest is a setback.

The hotel is perfectly situated on the large Piazza della Signoria. The main door is little tricky to find at first but once inside the facilities are excellent. Large room with double bed, sofa, desk and fridge etc. Ultra modern bathroom. A communal area is furnished with dining tables and chairs, coffee machine, fridge, microwave, everything you may need and more. Our hostess Caterina was very friendly and helpful, as were her staff. A great place to stay in Florence surrounded by restaurants which aren't expensive. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, I'd expect the rooms at the front may hear the noise of the bustling piazza.

Thank you for allowing us to stay here. I felt so at home, I did not want to leave. The suite has this amazing view of the dome. The owner granddaughter Pamela is an angel. This is the best place worldwide to stay in. Location is superb! Please book nowhere else but here - youll be surrounded with family.

We stayed in this cosy little apartment for four nights and discovered the main hall was part of a tower which was built in the 9th Century. The owner of the apartment, Pamela was a very gracious, courteous and helpful host who provided us with detail information of the city and also the accommodation. The bedroom is spacious, cosy and comfortable with a private bathroom too. It's location is just perfect, within walking distance to most major tourist attractions, shopping, dining and also the main train station. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Florence. Thanks again Pamela for being such a wonderful host.
