Definitely recommend this place. The apartment was massive and the location of it is a stone throw from Duomo. Too good. If I come to Florence again, I am staying here again for sure. Staff attentive and efficient. Check in, check out was good too.

The staff is very welcoming, the rooms are cozy and comfortable and the suite is bigger then some apartments we have been in. The kitchen is fully equipped so if you. Red anything you don't have to worry. The noise from the street is really low and the bed was very comfortable. All in all a very good accommodation near...

Clean, roomy, modern, convenient - close to everything you need to see in Florence. Great cafe next door for your coffee. Beautiful FOH lady. Stayed up late for us to arrive, and was a warm welcome. We only stayed one night, as we booked a hotel around the corner. However, it was perfect and would have happily stayed there instead....

We adored our stay at Residence Hilda. From the moment we entered the smart looking lobby we felt right at home. We were fortunate to have been upgraded to a deluxe suite which was incredibly spacious, with bathroom, dining area and bedroom. The bathroom had large bathtub and shower over the bath, bidet and even bathroom scales. Good quality toiletries...

This was a wonderful getaway in the heart of Florence, located close to Il Duomo, and within walking distance of the Arno, as well as many important museums and attractions. The staff was very kind, and the apartment style room was impeccably modern and clean. I would definitely return to the Residence Hilda.

The hotel apartments were very spacious and well appointed. The location, although close (a few blocks) to the main area by the Duomo, is more of a residential feel. I wasn't sure how that would compare to staying at a hotel near the river. I found I would have preferred being in a traditional hotel for the vibe and amenities....

Dear Guest, I thank you for your kind review. I can confirm that we're not on the river, but we never advertised to be on the river.... The feel you had is exactly what we would like our Guests to feel: we offer fully equipped Suites with a hotel service so that our Guests can feel at home, but with...

Residence Hilda provided us with a large apartment, very well appointed and very convenient for the main sights of Florence, a beautiful city. The kitchenette was very useful and the staff were helpful and informative. I'd have liked the air con to be a bit more effective, but maybe it is in summer. I wouldn't advise taking up RH's linked...

My brother and sister-in-law are frequent visitors to Florence and they recommended we stay at Residence Hilda. We absolutely loved staying at RH. The staff is so warm and friendly and the room is more like a small apartment than a typical hotel room. The location is great and withing close walking distance to all the main sites. We can't...

Hotel Hilde is a delightful find. It is just a few blocks from the Duomo and central to everything visitors want to see in Florence . The owners are very kind and helpful. All accommodaion in Florence is expensive, and this is no exception. But it's a great location, central yet quiet, it's really good quality accommodation, and nicely furnished in a contemporary style. Only disappointment for us was no coffee maker - other than one of those grotty ones you boild on the hob, or some sachets of Nescafe.

Dear Guest, I thank you for your nice review and hope to have you back with us. You came during the peak season and rates were (and still are) high due to the high demand. We are usually considered not so expensive for what we offer (Suites from 50 sq.m. large with all the services of a 4 stars hotel...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
