This was a great hotel for my daughter and I as we had a couple of extra days in Florence. It was close to everything downtown. A bit of a walk BUT along the river all the way. The rooms were nice, the water hot...More
Very nice and comfortable little hotel. The staff was friendly and polite. The breakfast was good ja enough options for us. Room was quite small but cozy and clean. Our room was towards the garden. No noise of the traffic. It was worth the money.
The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, just 15-20 minute walk from the tourist hubs.
The desk service is 24 hours and they are just wonderful: welcoming, warm and chatty. Our room was basic (but of course - this is a budget accommodation!) but...More
We arrived early on an early Sunday morning. All nearby cafes were not open, so the manager offered us complimentary breakfast for the day. He also offered useful travel advice. Although later in the evening, when I tried to ask for a kettle, i had...More

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
