I go to Florence several times a year but have never stayed here before. The location is good - away from the hustle and bustle or more central spots and the room itself was nice but a few thinks irked me : - the shower head was nearly coming out of the wall, as were the faucets. - we woke...

This hotel--like many Italian hotels--is a converted apartment in a old private building with an old-fashioned elevator. It's cheap, well-located, and in need of renovation. Our room, in particular, was in need of a lot of renovation. Parts of our floor were collapsing and our shower was so broken we had to partially rebuild it for each use. The beds...

Thought from the photos this would be a beautiful hostel with comfy beds and spacious rooms. The location is brilliant but I'm hugely disappointed by everything else this place has to offer. We hadn't even unpacked our bags and I asked to change rooms. Our first room was more claustrophobic than the lift you can opt to get upstairs in....

The hotel is located on the 3rd floor in a building across from the Pitti Palace. From the very helpful staff we got a map of Florence and detailed tourist information in English. The room was for 3 people with one double and one single bed, both comfortable with good mattresses and pillows, clean sheets and towels. The bathroom was...

If you want a nice, simple, clean place to stay, with friendly staff, free wifi, clean rooms and bathrooms, that is Soggiono Pitti. Great location - close to the train station, neighbor of Ponte Vecchio, not even 5 minutes away from all the historical sites.

This hotel is located right in front of Piazza Pitti, Boboli Gardens, and less than a mile away from Ponte Vecchio, which is why I selected to stay here. The hotel is lobby/reservations is located in the third floor and to get access you need to either take the stairs or get into a very tiny old elevator. The room...

We got a twin room with shared bathroom, which was the worst I ever stayed in. It was so tiny we couldn't barley move, the beds were so uncomfortable, the hotel owner could have a cooperation contract with the local chiropractor. The fan didn't even work. The shared bathroom were ok except the shower, which was kind of dirty with...

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
