A B & B so don't expect hotel facilities. That apart the accommodation was terrific - larger than most hotel rooms - super comfy bed - excellent bathroom with great shower and toiletries provided of good quality. Table and basic kitchenette with fridge. Safe in the wardrobe, two big windows with modesty curtains and blackout curtains. Only things to note...

The center of Florence, of Renaissance the famous piazza della Signoria is inviting you any time of the year, every year. Go early in the morning or late at night. Drink an aperitivo at the Rivoir caffe and enjoy. You will feel like the luckiest person in the world.

Can it get any better than that ? Arrive at dawn to feel like you've stepped into your private art gallery. Come back late in the evening and sit outside at one of the cafes. Do pick up a guide book to identify the individual statues just to enhance your visit. Absorb the culture, you'll know you've arrived in Firenze.

What a nice place. I think it's the heart of Firenze. Of course, the tourists are everywhere but at the same time there's always some kind of thing happening like local artists or even great presentations. Restaurants all around. Nice place to have a capuccino ! Great great experience !

The loft area was very hot and there was not a ceiling fan so we had to drag the mattresses downstairs for the kids. The "kitchen" was a armoire closet so not really but there was a small fridge under the...

Apartment for 3 adults was on top (4th floor). Very narrow circular concrete stairway to climb. Lift accommodates only 1 person. This B & B is in centre of Florence. Restaurants and shops at your front door. Staff very friendly & efficient.

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.

“Narrow circular concrete stairway with a lift for only 1 person so book room on 1st floor if you have trouble with stairs.”
