Was invited for a family wedding in Florence & we were booked at the Four Seasons along with most of the guests. The hotel entrance is on a small street & nothing lets you imagine there is such a nice building there! The staff are all very friendly & smiling while the rooms are spacious with a lot of light.... I came to meet my clients as they are attending a wedding and the whole hotel is reserved to the guest. My client asked me to wait and order some food while they get ready. Walked into the bar, sat for 5 mins waiting to be served, nothing, totally ignored, went to the bar and asked for a menu and... More

Spent two night in a premium room overlooking the park. Amazing service as usual, where your preferences are taken seriously and remembered. For my girlfriend's 30th birthday, we were kindly offered a bottle of prosecco and a delicious chocolate cake. Breakfasts are amazing. It's a quiet yet very central part of Florence. Can't wait to be back during summer time... More

To visit Florence this is the best option. The hotel is very beautifull and has lots of Historic value. It is also located in the center of the city which everything to see, shop just out the front door. The service is amazing, like in most four seasons hotels :) The only thing I was missing was a full spa,... More

We were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and splurged to again stay in a Four Seasons. This hotel was a Medici Palace in its day witrh 11 acres of beautifully manicured gardens, outdoor pool area and gorgeous old trees. The Spa and fitness Center are separate buildings and state of the art. But the top priority for staying here is the... More

One of the pleasures of our world travels is staying in Four Seasons hotels, and the Four Seasons/Florence, Italy did not let us down. Situated on the lush acreage of a former palazzo, the FS/Florence is spectacular in every respect -- room, grounds, restaurant, lounge, all were first-rate. By al means put this one on your bucket list.

Beautiful property is huge and cozy at the same time. Amazing service. Wide range of menu choices and everything we ordered was very good. We have twin four year old girls and they're still talking about their stay. (When will we see Giovanna again? Do you remember what Stefania said? Can we bike around Florence like Mr. Cipollini? The girls... More

This was our second time at the Four Seasons Florence, amazing stay. The hotel itself is a destination and being Florence just becomes a great plus. The size of the rooms is generous and the spa is very nice. The pool area during summer time and the gardens create a unique oasis in the city.

The Four Seasons Hotel in Florence is hands-down the most elegant of them all. The property is so tucked away, you could miss it walking down the street. Sit by the pool and enjoy a cocktail or stroll through the gardens and look at the beautiful art. You could spend a whole day here, but you'll want to explore the... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence, surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking students provides the tranquil surroundings for the elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read the daily newspaper. Home to several universities, including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A bridge connecting the modern cultural activity of Florence to its classic art, represented by the everlasting magnificence of the original David, resonates as a symbol of Florence and of Italy as a whole. Get lost in a Neoclassic world, a journey back in time through historic buildings like Spedale degli Innocenti (Hospital of the Innocents), San Marco church, Basilica della Santissima Annunziata, and natural jewels like the Botanical Gardens.
