This is a late review, so my apologies to the B&B!! I am a travel planner specializing in Europe (especially Italy). I did extensive research on B&B's in Lucca and picked this place for my client that traveled to Lucca last April 2015. They LOVED this place and highly recommended it! They loved their room and the breakfast was wonderful!...

A very amazing and unique place in the old town of Lucca. Only 3 rooms, all of them very special and each in a different style in a palace of the 14th century, so you will find original wooden doors with hge keys, impressive. Despite the age of the building the rooms and the bathrooms have modern equipment (air condition...

I have traveled all over the world and had some bad experiences, but this one tops them all. We arrived for a two-night booking. Unusually cold and rainy. No one was on the premises. We had to call a cell phone and wait for the owner to show up. He checked us in, showed us a map, said all the...

It seems to be a very old palace in inner Lucca. Extraordinarily rooms that I've never seen and been before. The hotel is very good placed near to the main road of Lucca. The breakfast is a reason to stay there itself. A huge variety of local food nicely presented and explained by the owner.

Although not one of the first destinations suggested when visiting Italy, Lucca was a wonderful find and was one of our favorite stops. We were directed to this hotel by a Rick Steve's review and are truly grateful for the recommendation. Staying in this wonderful B&B is like staying with family. The building is inside Lucca's wonderful Renaissance wall and...

I've hesitated about writing this review because I really don't like writing negative reviews about mom and pop owned places. But I do feel that most of the previous reviews present a rosier view than the reality. There are a lot of excellent features about this property : the rooms are large with high ceilings, the decor is eclectic and...

The place is exactely as lovely as what you can see on the pictures. You feel there both at home and somewhere in another time... What the pictures can't say is the kindness of the owners, the wonderful breakfast (la torta lucchese!!!), the good quality of beds, the calm etc. What I can't say, but just it was to early...

We enjoyed our stay in Lucca especially we liked Locanda Sant Agostino. The host Graziana was very kind and hospitable, she cooked delicious breakfasts for us every day. The room was wonderful, cozy and chic. Decent size.the lounge with the fireplace and small treats(nuts, home made sweets, tea, coffee) made our stay unforgettable. These are small details but believe me they mean a lot, especially in...

We arrived in Lucca by train and had a nice walk from the station through the center of Lucca to Locanda Sant Agostino. The map was easy to follow and it took about 15 minutes or so. We were met out front by Giacomo who was very friendly and helped us up the flight of stairs. He showed us our...

“Top room is upstairs & very private. Furthest room opens onto the square. Inside room is quieter and wifi more consistent. All charming.”

“There are only three rooms - one on the first floor with the kitchen, dining, and other guest area and two on the second floor. The first floor room was spacious, attractive, and very livable. There is no lift and the building once was a palazzo, so there are stairs to be considered.”

“our room was one of the blue rooms with the four poster bed... large windows opening out onto the quite piazza below... we loved it”

“There are only 3 rooms and I expect all are superb! No elevator but the hosts will gladly help you with your bags.”

“There are only 3 rooms. The "Square" is large and very nicely furnished. It overlooks the street but we did not have any problems with noise; we left the windows open since it was warm even in late October. The "Teatro" requires climbing another set of stairs, but it has its own balcony overlooking a garden.”
