Stayed here with my other half in June 2008 and it was the most disappointing hotel of our holiday. Entrance looked promising but there was a problem with our room so we were down graded to a standard. Yes the hotel is old but quaint...not so much. Paint peeling off walls, air con so loud I could barely concentrate, shower... More

We stayed for 1 night concluding our trip in Tuscany and Sicily. I booked this hotel because we needed to catch our flight from Pisa back to New York and our stay was going to be for just 1 brief night. The hotel was extremely old and if it is ever renovated it has the potential to be very beautiful.... More

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. We opted for a budget price hotel to stay in pisa for one night, but what we got was definately well above what we paid for! Stunning views cross the River Arno, really big room and lovely furniture. I can understand what the other reviewers mean when they say its faded and not... More

Lovely old hotel in central Pisa. Out of another era. Warm welcome and service. Great breakfast.

On first impressions this hotel is a stunner. It overlooks the Arno, has an incredible history and is very well preserved (check out the WWII photos in the lobby), and has a great roof terrace for escaping the hoards. Usually we love this sort of place, but the problem is that it's preserved a little too well. It overlooks one... More

Was probably a nice hotel in the victorian era, but I don't think they have made any improvements since then. Potentially this could be a great hotel, full of old world charm, but to bring The Victoria up to date I think it needs about a million spending on it, rewiring and replumbing! The bathrooms were like something from the... More

Hotel came recommended by the Rough Guide (a must have for travel to Italy) and had decent reviews here at trip advisor. We were disappointed. While the hotel had some old world charm to it and the rooms were good size, the negatives were tough to over come. First off, they neglected to mention they were re-doing their facade, so... More

Very much faded splendour, main issue for us was the car park, which we allowed the staff to park our car in (due to the small spaces as they said) when we went to get the car the next day the car had been hit in two places. They then produced claim forms from under the desk in italian (should... More

Like most of Italy and all of Pisa, stepping into this hotel was like stepping back into the 1940's, or maybe even earlier. Of course the hotel had running water, electricity, cable TV and all the modern 'necessities'; it was the atmosphere and ambiance of this 1000 year old building that made it feel like you were stepping back into... The hotel is like staying in a museum, in the style of a Victorian gentlemen's club. Very grand in its time. They were refurbing the front of the hotel when we stayed, so probably wasn't looking at its best. We were in a superior room on the 2nd floor facing the river. It was very clasically furnished with big ornate... More
