After staying twice at Il Casolare di Libbiano, we can say with certainty that it is truly a fantastic place to stay in Tuscany! Berta and Andrea are wonderful hosts and have created a magical retreat on this cozy and most historical property. They are the nicest family and could not be more sincere in welcoming guests to their home...

Casolare di Libbiano was our favorite place when our Italian-American families whirled through Venice, Florence and Tuscany this past August for a barely a week*. After all the autostradas and crowds, it was good to get onto an old dirt road, and enjoy the peace and quiet, and the twinkly night sky, the gracious hospitality of Andrea and his sweet,...

Our stay with Berta & Andrea was more than we expected. The food isn't just good, it's excellent and whatever you do, do try 1 evening meal...you'll come back for more. Hospitable, friendly, and very relaxing, this is a wonderful location with the must see town of San Gimignano 15min or so away. My husband and I loved our few...

As we drove up the gravel road we were worried what we had booked. However we had the most wonderful 3 days of our holiday at Libbiano. Andrea and Berta were lovely and welcoming and the setting was beautiful and peaceful. We ate there every night as the food was fantastic and a true bonus was the cooking course with...

Our stay at Casolare was lovely, Berta and Andrea were so delightful; they provided us with fabulous accommodation; excellent home made food; relaxing gardens and excellent service. Casolare is nestled in a beautiful reserve which gave us the opportunity to go walking each morning after breakfast. The location is perfect no more than 15 minutes to San Gimignano. Thank you...

We stayed at this wonderful place back in June for a few days with my wife's sister and husband and were so pleased that we had. After the crowds elsewhere, the isolation was the tonic we needed. We were given the room opposite the pool and were captivated by the landscaped gardens and lawns and the surrounding vineyards. Bertha and...

My husband and I have just come back from a break there and you can definitely say you have a "break" from everything else.. Beautiful landscape in the middle of a national reserve, quiet and peaceful..exactly what we needed! In 10-15 minutes by car you are in San Gimignano which is a lovely medieval village! The pool is very nice...

A winding gravel road off the main highway in Tuscany leads to Il Casolare Libbiano farmhouse laced with history and surrounded by a forest reserve, vineyards and hayfields. This tiny restored village with origins in the 12th century is hidden from civilization taking visitors back in time to a peaceful simpler life. The church of San Pietro, once a monastery,...

Stayed here for 4 nights in June with my boyfriend and our friends and it was everything we had hoped and much more. From the moment we arrived, Berta & Andrea were welcoming and gracious hosts. Our room was comfortable and the communal areas homely and decorated with style. Poolside was incredibly relaxing with beautiful and vibrant flowers and lemon...
