Stayed here for a noght in January. Very few other hotels were open, nor were many restaurants. I had a room facing the street. The noise of people walking up and down and visiting the pizza shop opposite was quite loud, but as it was winter, had abated by the time I needed to go to sleep. The restaurant was... More

Could not have been more pleased. Hotel is right inside the south gate. If you drive, you can drop off your luggage and then park either in P1 (6 euros for 24 hrs) or the other lots that are 24E. We had rooms 1, 2 and 6. We shared a veranda that had fantastic views of the hills of Tuscany.... More

This hotel is right inside the south gate of the old city. The rooms are pretty standard for Italy, but if you get a room with a view of the valley (I highly recommend this), your jaw will drop. Stunning views. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was pretty good. The best bakery in Italy is just across... More

Nothing fancy but a very nice room and you can't beat the location and price. Highly recommend dinner and breakfast.

This is a traditional hotel within the medievil walls of the town of San Gimignano. The rooms are spotless if uninspiring.... until you open the door of room 1,2 or 6 onto the huge terrace these rooms share. The view is inspiring and unsurpassed in my travels. Do as we did, pick up a basic lunch of local breads, cheese... More

We had a double room which opened on to a terrace with a stunning view that changed throughout the day. The restaurant has the same view and serves the best breakfast we had in Italy. The dinner menu was upscale and excellent. We ate there 2 of our 3 dinners. Our room was large and comfortable but not lavish. The... More

If you read the guides to San G. this hotel tends to get a fair but unenthusiastic write up. I have no idea why as it is really very good. Rooms seem to have only basic furnishings but perfectly adequate and spacious. The views are wonderful. The breakfast was above average for Italy and served in a dining room with... More

Granted, there isn't a ton to do in San Gimignano, but the location is quite nice, and what better place to stay than inside the fortress walls? Service is friendly, location is perfect, rooms - roomy, breakfast is standard, the view - I loved and the price is PERFECT. Bathrooms are huge and well equipped with hair dryer and shaving... More

About 12 years ago we stopped off to look at San Gimignano. It is a beautiful place and on the spur of the moment we booked this hotel for a night. The next day we extended our visit to 3 nights, all we were able to stay. We have just returned from our (?) tenth visit - we like it... More

We had a 3 night stay, paid a little extra for balcony with views over Tuscany, well worth it! Our room was spacious, the balcony although shared seemed to be ours alone. Both air conditioner and ceiling fans were needed and worked well. Staff speak good English and offer information. Breakfast room/dining room had the same view as our room,... More
