Conveniently located but poorly maintained old facility, to be avoided in hot summer days as air conditioning doesn’t work properly (we had to sleep with window open and the hotel is right by intense traffic road). Surprisingly in COVID times, the (pretty basic) breakfast was mainly served in underground and unventilated room, despite large space on outdoor terrace. Overall a bit overpriced (120 Eur + local tax)

It’s probably a 3.5. Good value for what we paid. Basic but clean. Breakfast v basic. Bus to the town but not that frequent and stops at 8pm ish. Taxi was 15 euro back. Hard to walk to town as a v busy road and no footpath.
Would stay again if we needed somewhere with easy parking.

The place is nice. It's near the historic centre of Siena. They have their own and spacious parking lot. The room is clean though there's a spiderweb at the upper side corner of the window of our bathroom. The breakfast is okay. It's a buffet but there's no wide range of choices for breakfast. The staffs are accommodating. Overall, we have our nice stay here.

This place gave you your money's worth and didn't pretend to be something it wasn't. It is outside of Siena, about 2.5 k to the town walls, and too much to walk uphill (if you want to walk downhill that's fine but note that you will be walking in the street not on a pedestrian pathway). However, as a result of the location, it is relatively quiet, despite being at the intersection of two main roads (quiet as opposed to people and street noise common with staying in Siena proper itself). The rooms are good sized, although the showers are small, but with good water pressure and plentiful hot water. The furnishings are standard and somewhat dated but the air conditioning worked well and the beds were comfortable. The morning breakfast was good, with espresso and cappuccinos to order but no hot foods. Parking was free as was the complimentary wi-fi in the room (which had a high quality signal). The price was right for the quality and services received.

Cabs from this hotel to the escalators into Siena were 10€ Or more each. There is a bus that runs every 30 minutes. When we arrived our rooms were very warm. Tried to cool them down but the air conditioning was horrible and when you left the hotel, they turned off your air conditioning. The fridge appeared not to be working when we arrived, but that was because they had turned it off. It took 2 days for it to cool down. Couldn't open the windows because hotel is very close to highway so it's noisy and there are no screens so you get bugs in your room if you do. Breakfast selection wasn't great. Some of the cereal was stale. Fruit was over ripe and should have been thrown away. There is a latte/espresso machine at breakfast. If you drink more than 2 cups per person, they charge your room. We stayed at 4 different hotels during our 2 weeks in Italy. This was by far the worst and it wasn't the cheapest.

The room was a simple room, average Italian size with a small bathroom. It’s in the outskirts of Siena but one can walk if desire. It has a big parking lot, so RVs can fit in too. The breakfast was big and fresh. It was really clean and definitely would comeback because the service was really good.

Were there at the time of the Palio so rooms were few and far between but delighted with what we got. It was a bit far out of town but a bus or taxi were always available. Pity there were no evening meals but solved by a short walk or drive to nearby restaurants or buying picnic goods and eating in the area set aside for this in the garden which was very pleasant. Cosmopolitan friendly crowd of people at breakfast which was in a bit of a crowded dinning room but not an issue. Friendly staff, good breakfast and comfortable room. Did exactly what it said on the tin and what we wanted at a reasonable price

Hotel review - Ai Tufi, Siena, Italy, September 2013

Hotel is located Outside of town, too far to walk in, really, (2k) but buses are convenient. Not all the staff was over friendly or forthcoming with info, like that buses from town to the hotel stop running early evening, like 9pm or so, and a taxi costs about 10€ from center of town.

Breakfast was good, standard European continental fare.

Room was good size, grounds are nice, great patio. Very quiet.

Not much to say really, it was a fine stay, not much personality, but it is best if you have your own transport and are using it as a base, because the parking there is free.

I would stay here again if I were traveling around the area and had a vehicle, otherwise, if I were just here to be in Siena I would find something closer in.

We were very pleased with the hotel stay. It has a very good location for walking around, and for tours and excursions. The room was very clean, towels changed daily, and breakfast was very good. The staff is very friendly. Bus stop is a few steps. This is very convenient because it is difficult parking in Siena. There are many supermarkets and is also a great starting point for a tour of the nearby villages, where you can taste wonderful cheese and wine.
I'd recommend the hotel to my friends.
