actually, when I stayed, there was a couple with a 5 year old and he did very well. we all enjoyed having him around. The family atmosphere will make it easy for him. So, don't hesitate . . take him!

There is no public transportation nearby as this is on a farm outside of Sienna. You really need a rental car to enjoy the Tuscan countryside.
