The reason for title is you approach past the local CO-OP Supermarket but once you get up to the hotel a wonderful hidden gem. Lots of accommodation and a wonderful pool (not heated!). Nice comfortable rooms (bathrooms a little small) but clean and comfortable. Had a bar meal in evening which was great. Near town (2kms drive) .

This is our second stay at this delightful hotel. Staff is amazing, so friendly and helpful you will feel like your staying with family. The grounds are lovely and relaxing. Their chef is so talented! You have to try his Artichoke-pudding with cheese fondue. The rooms/apartments are cozy and warm. All in all the kind of get away one hopes...

We stayed here two nights to tour siena it is about a 15 min walk from the station and 25 min walk to the centre. Be prepared to walk a bit or pay a taxi. Taxi was about 10 euro. The room was comfy with a good bed and bathroom. We stayed in room12 that shares a kitchen with another...

This hotel is definitely a hidden gem. A little hard to find the first time but well worth finding. Well situated for travelling around Tuscany and easy to get into the old town of Siena by car. We enjoyed the walk into town which again is quite easy once you work out how to get there. The staff were all...

This place was very nice - from the rooms, to the grounds, to the lobby & breakfast area. We were dropped off here from a tour and took a taxi into town so it is about 10 minutes from Siena. It had a lovely pool which my daughter loved. Rooms were spacious & clean with lots of amenities. When we...

The location is just beautiful right up the hill from the main train station. The staff are so very friendly and the breakfast was great with the personal attention of a waiter. The appartment very nice, large and well-equipped.

We stayed 3 nights in Oct 2016. Our grown daughter decided to join us, so she rented an apartment at the last minute. Therefore, we had the opportunity to see both a room and an apartment. Next time I think we will spring for an apartment as it's just a little roomier and there's an amazing patio/ balcony attached. The...

If you want a great location in Siena, do not hesitate to choose Borgo Grondaie. Not far from center, large rooms, warm service, delicious selection for breakfast. I'll give an extra star for sending back the necklace my wife forgot in the room. Thank you again!

Deliberately chose to stay out of the Old Town and so pleased we did. The location is convenient to station and has lots of parking. The grounds are superb and summer would be special, but the winter still allowed good walks on the icy grass. We were in the hotel part no room and facilities were fine and comfortable. The...

This property is very close to a large supermarket, but not much else. We were under the impression that it was a short walk into town, but that's not really true. It's quite a hike and you probably wouldn't want to do it after dinner. The property itself is pretty nice and our apartment was quite spacious. Stangely enough, although...
