What can I say but my thoughts have not changed!! A beautiful 5 room bed and breakfast and inexpensive!! A great place to have as ground zero. Not too far from Florence and all the small wine towns. Relax and take your shoes off and basque in the sun and warmth of Podere il Pero!!
If you want a place to be a base to discover Tuscany, Il Pero is the perfect one! Located in Siena, just outside of the historic center, you will find peace and beauty in Gianni’s jewel! He and his parents made our stay an unforgettable one. The place is awesome, spotless clean and very comfortable. The breakfast delicious, including Gianni’s mother’s homemade delights! Will go back for sure!
Incredibly clean and spacious room. The breakfast was sumptuous and had a variety of selections. We enjoyed fresh figs from their garden! Free parking was very helpful. Many hotels in the city center of Siena don't offer parking. I absolutely recommend staying at Podere Il Pero.
Podere il Pero is a family run agricultural in Siena. Gianni and his parents run a 5 room bed and breakfast. Very inexpensive and yet a great breakfast with fresh fruit, breads, coffee, cakes and other delicious foods. Our room The Sunflower was awesome with a picturesque view of the mountains. Great bed and bathroom plus access to the balcony. The B & B is close to all amenities which you can walk, bus or take your car. The moment we arrived we felt like family and were treated with kit gloves!! We were celebrating a few party favours {my 60th birthday, our 22nd wedding anniversary, my Amore's birthday (cannot say but she is younger) and our return back to Italy. Gianni was very helpful and helped us in every way he could. We even went to see an Opera. In July is the month which they have the horse races around the Piazza. Unfortunately, we came in early June but got to see the Ferrari festival I HIGHLY recommend Podere il Peroto to camp your gear and do day trips to such places as to Firenze, Pienza, Mutipolcino, Multicino and San Gimannino (sp). Next trip please stop and stay at Podere il Pero you will not be disappointed!!…
We stayed here for two nights with my husband. Our room was spacious and it had a very fine style .A large confortable bed with very good matress gave us some rest.Al the place was very clean. In the mornig a surprise watingus. In the dining room Gianni and his mother took care of a very good breakfast with local products.Gianni is always there to answer to our questions or to give information not only for Sienna city but for all the Toscane. This bnb is in a farm where is a private parking for your car.The Podere Il pero is two minutes from the bus stop to take the bus for the old City.We liked everything here.We will be back asap.
Lovely clean and good sized room. Very welcoming owner and staff, with a lovely breakfast with good choice. Close to the town centre so easily walked but also close to bus stop too. Will definitely return.
The location is perfect. Very close to Siena (10min by bus) or 5min by car to the Siena parking area (on pay or free of charge if you are lucky, in the free parking opposite the first one). The building (traditional Tuscany style) and the surrounding yard are fantastic. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The owner Gianni and his parents are so friendly and kind. They assist in every way, giving helpful info about the area, the transportation, the food in Siena and so on. The breakfast is continental and of good quality and the price is reasonable. Highly Recommended !!!
Podere Il Pero is a good place to stay near Siena if you have a car. Between the hassle and expense of parking, and the terror of the ZTL, you're much better off leaving your car well outside the city walls. As for Podere Il Pero, it is a simply decorated, well managed place. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There is some street noise, as the building is right beside a road that has moderate traffic. The owner and manager is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but acceptable. Although it is much better to leave your car at Podere Il Pero, getting into the center of Siena is not so easy. The bus stop is a 10-minute walk from the B&B, and half of the way you're on a road without sidewalks (sidewalks aren't so common in many places in Tuscany). The bus itself is good, but on weekends the bus only comes every 30 minutes, so if your timing is off you'll be waiting a while... and on all days bus service stops at 8:30pm. This means that if you have dinner in the center of Siena you will either have to walk or take a taxi back to Podere Il Pero. I walked but it is not a short or pleasant walk -- you have to go on busy roads, often without a sidewalk, and it is neither comfortable nor scenic. Podere Il Pero is a good option, but there may be places that are more conveniently located in Siena that can also accommodate cars.…
A great fine and the location is just what we wanted....Room as very spacious as well as the bathroom,, Host was highly accommodating and his Mom is wonderful with the grounds,, beautiful property....price is low for the room and service..try it you'll love it..
This is the perfect location for being close to the city (walking distance) and not in all the traffic of Siena. Podere Il Pero is quaint, quiet and well-appointed. The host, Gianni, is so friendly and helpful. He was very kind and patient in explaining directions, make recommendations of where else to go outside of Siena and full of general useful information. We had a wonderful 3 night stay there. Breakfast is an optional add ... we had one morning. Typical continental style breakfast that was quite nice for the price.
