Our family enjoyed staying in this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. We felt very welcomed by the staff (thank you Cristina for sharing about G. Nannini). Breakfast was fantastic! If we find ourselves back in Siena, we'll be sure to stay here again!

Stayed here in January of 2012. Very reasonably priced small hotel, outside of the old city of Siena, run by a friendly family. Excellent room with private bath. Ample breakfast with many nice choices. Only negative is location on a busy street, but soundproof windows and quiet at night.

We got there just like those other people who didnt have a booked room. We just simply stumbled upon it. And we loved it. We've been travelling throughout Europe this whole summer and this was the cutest place we stayed at. Owners were nice and sweet. Room was awesome. It was nice, cozy and had a romantic feeling. We stayed at a villa afterwards for twice the price and that villa did not even compare to this hotel. It was seriously the cutest place ever. We highly recommend it!

We reached Siena on a rainy Sunday, without having booked a hotel. Everything was either full or looked horrible, finally -after several hours looking around, we found this small hotel outside the city walls that looked alright and was not expensive. the hotel is located at a main road. The rooms (we choose among two) were quite big, clean, not modern but well furnished. The batrhoom clean and quite new. They have a private parking (included in the price). They serve a very good buffet breakfast, offering just baked cakes, croissants... hot and cold drinks (the capuccino was excellent), and ham, omelete... The lady is very helpful and nice, thank her for the night we spent there!!

A good place to stay when visiting Siena with a car. The manager recommended to us a good place to park close to the historic center (near stadium). So, just park there for the half day it took us to visit the historic center. The hotel is quiet and clean, with decent breakfast.

I really like this hotel. I think it is more of bed and breakfast then hotel. It is located 10-15 minutes DRIVING from old Sienna district. There is free parking by hotel. Hotel and room and bathroom were pristine clean. The breakfast was home made, and coffee was awesome. There is mini fridge in the room. Internet connection is good, and included in the rate. There is small garden by hotel with flowers and grapes, lounge chairs.

However, there are 2 major streets right by hotel. You can hear it during night. I did not care, but I realize it might irritate some people.

Hotel felt like home away from home.

The Piccolo is unfortunately located on a main road which detracts from what is actually quite a nice hotel. The rooms are spacious & clean & nicely decorated. The breakfast pastries seem to be homemade, going by the delicious smells coming from the kitchen in the early evening! Breakfast is plentiful & tasty. Car parking is free & on-site which is plus in Siena. The bus option can be tricky due to lack of frequency so I would recommend catching a taxi to the centre & leaving the car at the hotel.

Booked this having read the reviews on tripadvisor and it didn't disappoint. This is a lovely B&B on the outskirts of Siena, which has the most fantastic service. Nothing is too much for the staff at this hotel (I think it's all the same family) and they really made our stay. We stayed two nights in a big room for four of us which was really clean and even had soft fluffy towels. The breakfasts were great (served us American coffee, which is Italian for weak milky coffee) and even gave us coffee and biscuits when we came in tired from a days sightseeing, which we sat in their nice little garden and gratefully drank (they refused to take any cash for the coffee and biscuits!)

My only slight negative is that the B&B is on a bit of a busy road and is not really walkable to the centre, although there is a bus stop very close by. They do however have parking which is a huge bonus around Siena so if you're touring it's really great. There are a couple of restaurants near enough to walk to if you don't want to stay in the centre all day. Having said that, they ordered taxis for us and told us how to avoid being charged too much on the way back. Taxi into central Siena was about 11Euros.

Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful host, very clean and spacy rooms, great restaurant at the hotel.
The location outside Siene is perfect. The host gave us the best tip where to park our car when visiting Siene.
There is a beautiful terrace around the hotel where you can enjoy a cup of coffe, wine or eat your breakfast.
