Its a convenient location to the center of siena. Its clean and easy; not that many frills, but it didn't matter to me since i went on wine tours during the day. the room is spacious and you are essentially renting your own room in a flat. the only slight drawback is having a shared bathroom - but since everyone...

Siena is a Midevil city. It is magnificent. So, stay somewhere magnificent. Palazzo Masi is an 800 year old building. Wow! The rooms are just off the piazza--exactly where you want to be. Walking distance for sure but not too noisy so its the best of both worlds. Daniella is the inn keeper and I challenge you to find a...

Palazzo Masi has an absolutely wonderful location and very nice hostess, Daniela. However, we were disappointed in the room and "little things". The bed was lumpy and old, room was small, and, even though this really is a little thing...the towels were basically old, threadbare rags. A couple of nice new towels would really have been nice, and I don't...

Palazzo Masi is a fantastic place to stay is you want an accomodation a few steps away from the breathtaking Piazza del Campo and Duomo. The old building is very chaming, Daniela the owner, a fantastic host, always ready to help and genuinely friendly. I am very surprised to read a couple of reviews pointing at the fact that the...

For €130 a night for a bedroom without ensuite we expected something approaching luxury. Instead we were greeted by an impatient hostess (there is no onsite reception) and minimal comforts (threadbare towels, no running water, tiny TV etc.). Do not be seduced by the great location nor by the other reviews on this website - this is one to avoid...

We stayed at the Palazzo Masi May 11-12th and had a wonderful time. The location is incredible. We were steps away from Il Campo, and only 5 minutes from the Duomo and major sightseeing. The easy access to IL Campo allowed us to enjoy this great public space several times a day, at different times, and often on the spur...

We made our reservations directly with Daniela. We exchanged emails and made arrangements to call her upon our arrival in Siena at which time she'd meet us at the B and B. This is what we did without ANY difficulty whatsoever. True, she and her husband are not on the premises but they gave us their home and cell numbers...

My daughter and I enjoyed Palazzo Masi very much. We booked through Venere, who gave us a phone number to call when we arrived in Siena. Daniella sent an email to us as well and gave her cell number and reiterated that we must call when we arrive so she can be there for us. However, I didn't notice the...

First a general comment about staying in Siena. If you have a car, don't stay in the city! Parking is very restricted. The city parking lot near this hotel charges 1.60 euros/hour with no maximum. There is a free lot rather far away that was full on 2 of our 3 nights. My personal recommendation would be, if you have...

If you want to stay in a restored palazzo about 50 yards from the main square in Siena (Piazza del Campo), with modern accommodations and a totally lovely English-speaking host, at a very reasonable price (120 euros in October for a double, breakfast not included), this is definitely the place to stay. You have the privilege of a home-like, untouristy...
